Hey man...just came across your video and have to say really enjoyed it. Pretty refreshing. We have a fair chunk of stuff in common and similar outlook (apart from im maybe not at the stage you are with regards to the businesses). Would you say Perth has alot to offer someone who is chilled, into sport and fitness with a construction background? Any advice would be great im currently trying to decide as I dont meet the WHV criteria and would have to go straight for PR. From Bristol UK. Cheers

Hey Gary, thanks for reaching out! 🙏🏽 super glad that you enjoyed it mate ☺️ Nice to know we have a few things in common too 🤙🏾 Definitely, I find Perth to be alot more laid back than all the other places I’ve lived in. There’s tons of community for sport & fitness (my work plays every Monday at the Astro turf in multiple games). All the fitness classes & gyms are busy & thriving. I’ve been to 4 gyms in the last few months & all social & impactful as an healthy environment for growth. My favourite gyms are REVO Fitness. It’s a chain and they’re all over Perth 🙌🏽 As for the construction background, there’s so many developments happening with residential builds & beyond. Eg. In between burns beach & Mindarie. I haven’t worked in construction here though. Personally I’ve found Perth to be a place where it’s about who you know, not so much what you know. Most of my opportunities with work, accom & lifestyle events have happened due to knowing the right people. (Those that can help with your goals) If you can get PR straight out the gate and be eligible to get it lodged asap then that’s a god send 💯🙌🏽 Processing times for visas here are SOO LONG. Ah Bristol, I’ve been there a few times when I’m back in the UK. My best mate lives there. Cool. Hope all this helps Gary, any other questions, lmk! 🤙🏾 All the best bud, Benny

Hi Benny, cool video! I’m planning to do a year in Australia via a study & work program. I’m struggling to decide on the city as it’s my first time in Oz - I’m tempted by Perth because of the good weather and awesome beaches, but many are saying Melbourne and Sydney are a lot more lively, easier to find work albeit shittier weather. What would you advise as the best city if you only had a year to spend working and living in Oz? Cheers mate!

Hey OneLovePic, thanks for your kind words ☺️🙏🏽 means a lot (: Ooo great question! I haven’t done Sydney yet so not too sure on there but if I had a year to spend in Aus.. I’d pick Perth. My reasons: - Better weather all year round - Community events & things to do - Amazing coastline, beaches, road trips, breweries, wineries, landmarks etc. - FIFO pays well if you can get into the industry - Access to other jobs, networking events etc - Local transport is easy to navigate around the city - Loads of cars for sale if you want to travel out All depends on what you want from that year though.. Like the weather for me is definitely a deal breaker 💯 Hope this helps mate 🙏🏽 Need anything else, let me know 🤙🏾

Hey, thanks so much Benny, that’s a great summary and I’m convinced that Perth will be a great pick for me. Weather is for sure the biggest motivation for me after living in the UK for quite a long time! Heard people are nice in Perth too. Sweet mate, I will get the process going and let’s meet up for a coffee or a cold one around Aug/Sep time if you’re still there! All the best bro
