Thanks for the video about Canyon Lake! My wife and I bought here almost two years ago with Raad's help. Absolutely love it here. It's definitely slower paced than New Braunfels, but we like that. The lots here are, for the most part, much bigger than what you'd get in NB and that means more privacy. The views are also bigger here than in NB. We can see 40miles from our 2nd floor! The HEB in Spring Branch is less than 10 minutes away. I do wish there were more restaurant options here, but we can be in NB in 20 minutes if we want to eat there. People here are VERY friendly. We've already made great friends here. The Hill Country wineries start right here in Canyon Lake. I think that was one of the things that surprised us the most about moving to Texas and that is how wonderful the Texas wines are. In fact, we drink Texas wines exclusively now (and Texas vodka and beer for that matter!) We have lots of wildlife here, lots of ranches and beautiful scenic roads to drive. We're thrilled to call ourselves Texans. So glad we left the Northeast.
@Raad Alawan Realtor i will definitely be holding tight since this area is getting extremely saturated with residents and restaurants will be needed in the near future
New Braunfels Christa Santa Rosa and Resolute are closer, BUT don't have NICU. If you're a neonatal nurse, you'll have to go to San Antonio.Nearest to Canyon Lake would be north central Baptist Children's Hospital. it's a 40 minute drive IF you're on the south side of the lake. That drive is 30 minutes if you live in Mountain Springs Ranch
Ppl here we dont want developers or tons ppl moving in! It's no longer a "small town" dont appreciate yall telling more ppl to move here or investors to come in and take it away from us ppl who have been living here since forever since was a "small town" where you could go out and you know everyone! now you go out and you're a stranger and everyone here is strangers too many ppl moving in raising the market and the property taxes have TRIPPLED IN 1 YR!!! ITS RIDICULOUS
@@raadalawanrealtor my husband and I do every year, doesn't make a difference they never lower it even coming in w/ printed portfolio and comps in our neighborhood handing each board member a portfolio... they dnt care ... they NEVER lower it, they could care less sitting up their on their high horses.... they basically told us they get our property values from surveys they send out to everyone that purchased a home in our neighborhood and they base our tax value off their responses on how much they paid for their house/land etc. So when ppl move in and pay over asking price and fill these forms/surveys out, it screws us. But every year we protest and every yr they basically tell us too bad so sad! It should be illegal haha ya right but would be nice! For the last 3 or 4 yrs our value has gone up over 100k for a dang modular/manufactured home! It's insane!
Not to mention we won't have enough water to dispense to all the influx in ppl coming in.... we already have too many straws dipped into our lake it's unrecognizable now also! The lake is litterally half full/empty from its normal level. Because of droughts and all the ppl it's supplying. It won't be long and it will be completely empty & clwsc will be having to purchase water from other areas instead of other areas purchasing water from us.... too many straws already... with all the new growth won't be long we'll be unable to supply the demand...
