£12 A NIGHT! Yes that’s what we paid for an absolute peach of a pitch within walking and cycling distance of everywhere we needed near Weymouth. In this video you find us at Causeway Farm Campsite a MCC Certified Location where we walk to Weymouth for a nice day out and then undertake an epic bike ride to Portland to see some amazing sights along the way including some ridiculous hills.
Hi we’re Rick, Heather & our dog Poppy and we travel in Pearl our Elddis CV20 campervan.
We film the places we visit as our own diary, these videos are meant as a little memento for us but we're happy to share them with you if you want to watch.
We're just an ordinary couple in our 50's filming our adventures with basic equipment so don't expect loads of flash camera action and super editing with great music.
We also film videos of work we have done on our van as well as van reviews for our reference of the next van we might buy. Occasionally there are hints & tips videos too. We do basic site and area reviews including if they’re dog friendly but they’re a guide only based on our opinions which may or may not help you make an informed decision on if you’d like the place.
We do a mix of off grid camping, pub stopovers plus real campsites too, hopefully something for everyone to enjoy!
Please leave us a comment on the videos, we love reading them and reply to each one.
We try to upload once a week so please consider subscribing to see our travels, it’s free and will really help us.
Thanks for watching!

Nice beach and lighthouse. Hard to tell on video, how steep the hill was, but glad you made it. Good video, my friends 😊💕

That first pic looked like the early 80's when you were still watching kids TV Rick😂😂 Mad the size of trains running through there until the mid 90's. Looked a good site and ride, we are supposed to be going to Scotland tomorrow but weather looks awful so maybe Dorset it will be. Cheers K.

The benefits of a van, changing your mind at the last moment! We’re off “somewhere” in a couple of weeks… nothing booked yet, this summer’s been terrible

I thought we’d done well with our CCC THS at £14.50. We were there from Weds 19 until the Sunday. Weather was awful on the Saturday so we took Wanda to Portland Bill rather than use our bikes. Looking forward to the next one. Take care Gill

Nice one - loved the Morris Minors. We've gotta get electric bikes, the boss absolutely refuses pedal-power and I love getting out on my bike. If only you had some to demo for us... as we don't know what to buy...

We’re very happy with the e-Ranger but yeah I’d love a free fat tyre one I could use for work 🤣

What a lovely part of the country, you can’t beat a red and white lighthouse and a procession of moggie minors 😂

Nice trip, site and views. It's great that you say and tell it how it is unlike some scripted swizzle. Like the closing line - you've brought me down some crappie hole but this is a good unit. Real people not afraid to say it as it is - normal 👍👍

🤣 she always takes me down a stupid narrow lane! Can’t be anything other than how we are in real life, probably why we don’t get 1000’s of subscribers… no daft gooning faces and catchphrases 🤣

Weymouth is that not where they filmed Beyond Paradise (spin off from Death in Paradise), have seen the photos many a time of the trains in Weymouth. I am so glad you showed the chippy tea as thats what i am having later tonight 😂😂 What a view from near the Summit. Still not received a free bike myself..... A excellent video as always Rick and Heather.

Could have stayed at the pulpit inn by Portland bill lighthouse, Sea view's use of toilets in pub and you can get water, £10.00 per night, get the open top bus to Weymouth, not telling you where to stay but just some thoughts of what's about. Like the videos guys 👍🏻
