Who's headed to Fort Bragg?
Today we're chatting with MILLIE Scout Heather, an Army spouse of 13 years and counting. In that time her family has PCSed numerous times including overseas, short term, long term, buying, and renting (Whew!). She has both bought and rented sight unseen (Not for the faint of heart!).
Heather says: "I am a super big nerd about making sure I find the best educational opportunities for my kids at every duty station. It is the driving force behind our research into every PCS and the basis for choosing where we live. We keep ourselves very open to creative ideas on what that might look like and then making it happen. Sometimes that has meant homeschooling, sometimes that means living on post, sometimes off, sometimes that's meant buying a house, here it means jumping sight unseen onto the first rental we could find in the public school district that we ideally wanted. I depend so much on online resources and word of mouth for that research."
