Been planning on moving to a European country, there’s still lots of time before I’ll be able to, however videos like urs helps me decide, although I’m leaning towards 3 options, Switzerland, Sweden, & Germany cuz I got friends in all 3 & some other reasons.

@@fernandotaboraI plan on it lmao I also plan to visit South Korea a couple times to, however rn got to focus on getting money, since I have been unemployed since December & been restricted on jobs especially now since I don’t have a vehicle & family is busy. Anyways just gotta try to fix things holding me back from moving, got some friends who will help me if I move to Germany or Switzerland so it’s nice of them. All I know is it’s gonna be better than USA overall. Especially quality of food not only life, if things work out well.

Idk , that, but all I know is that Germany has a good quality of life, however, starting from the scratch, mmm not a good idea, it doesn’t matter if it’s European Serbian like me or us citizen, it’s not easy moving around the world without income or a job offer, I’m currently working with law enforcement, it doesn’t pay much here, but at least I have a paycheck and a roof over my head

For germany is high. Like most apartments now are around 1000 to 1500 probably 2k for 2 room apartments. Specially for students is very difficult. But I get it, is not high if you earn like 3k a month. But still other places in germany are just way cheaper.

Great video, buddy. Very well shot and very dynamic. And oh my god, finally someone has an adequate assessment of the country! I totally agree with you on everything. Especially about third world countries. I find it so funny when people from the USA or the Netherlands talk about some small things, like these are the disadvantages. And I laugh, because no matter how Germany is, in my country I have a salary of 300 euros, and the apartment costs 500 euros.

I grew up in Germany and left for Latin America. Why? Racism, a socialist country where you can work as hard as you want and never have anything to show for it, I would pay close to half of my salary in taxes. Cold and unfriendly people. Cold and rainy weather throughout the year, Saturdays and Sundays the country dies basically, there is not one single human being on the street. There are soo many rules you suffocate. So yea, good luck 😂.
@fernandotabora
@fernandotabora Месяц назад
You know, I think my initial thought of german being unfriendly is a bit of a lie. I started counting my encounters with Germans and is a solid 2/10 some people will be a bit inpatient or a bit of angry karen, but most of the times is all good and nice. I also think we get a lot back from taxes, but we are just not aware. As a buisness owner myself, I see the amount of money that goes away, but in some things I do see a lot of benefits at the end of the day. Regarding activities, I think is all about personality. In winter I like going skiing or going to the Christmas markets or if you are in munich now more than ever there is an event. I feel you, but more and more I see why I want to stay here. Is all about keeping a Latin vibe and combining it with the german vibe ❤️

@Clarke1982

I am in a similar position and it can feel scary. Perhaps take some trips over there and get a good feeling for it and look up some online ex pat groups for the cities you're interested in. Meeting other foreigners is a good way to make friends since we are all in the same boat and that often creates an immediate connection. I think establishing new friends and community is the most important thing when arriving anywhere new and it's possible to do that before you have even left home with the internet. Have you got a city in mind? Best of luck :)

@fernandotabora
@fernandotabora 11 месяцев назад
Not really. If you go to www.immobilienscout24.de/ and you check prices outside of Munich for example you would get a house for what you pay here for 2 rooms lol. I think is mainly in big cities like Berlin or Munich where the demand is high, but in any big city is like this. It's not just in Germany. Equally do some more research because in the end this is just some of my knowledge, so always dig deeper ;) Thank you for your comment!

Im from Munich. When I was 38 I had a medical emergency and went to two doctors. Both ignored my symptoms and didn’t listen to me because I’m a woman. I had to go to a private female doctor and pay everything myself to get a diagnosis. It only took her 10 minutes to diagnose me. The treatment cost me another §2000€. So yes Germany is amazing if you’re a rich white heterosexual men. If you’re a women it willl suuuuuuck.

Hahahahha new video dropping today about that. Yeah man like any where in the world there will be racist 🙄 but! In the big cities is not a problem, because people are so mix here. So to answer your question, in big city's not as much but maybe in small towns you get some bad apples here and there. I must also say man that I am white and I blend in, but I really don't see people struggling with racism in munich at least. Hope this helps 🙏🏻

I’m moving back but decided to move to a larger city like Cologne verses Bavaria. The larger cities are more diverse with people from Africa and the Middle East verses the smaller towns. I’m choosing to live outside of the cities because rent is cheaper for larger places and it’s only 15/20 minutes away. In Germany they don’t drive as much as we do daily, plus I can live “far” away from the city with no car and be close to train or bus that runs often.

2 questions, first, do you have any degree past high school and if not, how did you adjust to Germany? Second is going to be a naive question but I figured I ask in case money was ever a consideration... Let's say, I booked a flight for the 1st of July next month, how much should I save totally in my pockets and bank account for let's say 3 months until I find a stable job and continue living in Germany?
@fernandotabora
@fernandotabora 3 месяца назад
Hi! First of all you have to plan everything to the detail. You need to have a job first so that when you arrive, everything will be more easy. Finding apartments is really hard here, so by having a job contract, you can understand how much money you will win and also the landlords will be more secure with you applications. Germans like stability. 2) you have to learn at least a b2 german. Some jobs don't need german but is always good to have. Cheaper to learn it in your country of origin. 3) what I did was crazy and is better to do plans and be sure of what you will get here. So that when you come here, you have the most chances of succes. Is really not that hard, but it takes work and time. I am doing a vidoe about all this topics now, so make sure to stay on the loop. Hope this was helpful 🙏🏻

@fernandotabora

Depends, if it office work yes, but if it's like a business with customer I think no. You can have a 2 room apartment and deduct from your taxes the space you are using for your business

@@fernandotabora Yes it would involve customers. I repair and build guitars and amplifiers as well as restore old audio equipment.

Mmmmmmm I don't know if it just pick. I think it's fine but you have to check with you landlord and also if you have a company that's just a topic that me my self I am getting into. But I think if you are a freelancer and they just come to pick it up or so then fine. But do more research hahahah and all the best mate

@@fernandotabora Absolutely! That is what I do now in the US, I just work from my home shop. I own my house here which makes that easier but I am still doing a lot of research as I also practice learning German.

You are right, Bavaria is beautiful. I have lived for periods of time further North in Münster to be with my girlfriend and we have travelled down to hike in Bavaria on many occasions. Now I have to make a decision whether or not to move from the UK to Germany permanently and I have so much anxiety about integrating my life. I have lived in many places around the world but always temporarily, 6 months to a year, for work but never permanently. If my gf and I are to stay together then I have to do it. It's overwhelming! Thanks for the pointers... And yes, Deutche bahn is the worst for connections, cancelations and running late. With all that Germany runs very efficiently, the train system is so bad.

Is there benefit for families in Germany
@fernandotabora
@fernandotabora 5 месяцев назад
Ufff I think you do get some good things, but I am not the expert sadly
@Dina52328
@Dina52328 Месяц назад
@ArzuN17, I have some information regarding those (social) benefits because my son, a German citizen is in Germany now with his family and trying to apply for those benefits. He recently relocated to Germany so that his young daughter can receive a better education. It’s been very, very difficult navigating through the German government bureaucracy. You first need to find your own place to live for a so called “anmeldung”. Without it you can’t work, can’t get a tax number, can’t register the child for school, and can’t even open a bank account, etc . . . What people don’t know is that there is a critical shortage of housing in Germany. Should you find an apartment or flat for rent, there will be hundreds of applicants for the same place. It is a competitive game and only the best tenant gets the apartment. You have to provide your work history, credit report, income, workplace, education, etc . . . He was told that in order to receive some of the social benefits, first he has to find a place to live costing no higher than 660 euros per month. With a shortage of housing, it will be impossible finding something that cheap and with hundreds of people competing for the same thing. The government workers keep sending him all over the place to different government offices but not getting anywhere. For right now, he and his family are staying in an AB&B for 1500 euros a month. Without a job, this will not be sustainable in the long run. They do have shelters though for the homeless. We say here in the U.S: “not all that glitters is gold” or “the grass is not always greener on the other side of the fence. However, the local Germans have told him that if for refugees, the government takes care of them right away. Go figure 🤷‍♀️. Sorry for the long comment. Greetings from west Texas 🌞🌵🌻?
