And this is why I’ve grown so fond of you and your little family. You’re living my dream, which was always to live in Hawaii. This island stole my heart a long time ago and I’ve never been the same. Such a connection to this place is undeniable. However, I’m Canadian and can only be in the US for 6 months of the year. But I have a plan and determination to make it work. Thanks for sharing your story, you and your family are an inspiration and give courage and hope. The heart wants what the heart needs❤

Thank you so much for the encouragement and support. I really appreciate it. As they say, where there’s a will, there’s a way. I have no doubt that you’ll figure it out and make it work.

Hey Cedric, I was born and raised in Honolulu and lived there till the age of 44. Ironically, I moved my family to the mainland for the exact same reasons you are making this move to Hawaii. I also referred to it as a mid life crisis 🤣 I sometimes wonder how different my kids (they are grown now) would be had they grown up in Hawaii. Best of luck with your new life in Hawaii. You already look local so you have that going for you. Aloha!

Hay David! Pleasure to meet you. Sometimes it’s not so much the place, but simply the change that we are looking for. I can understand growing up here and wanting to venture off of the island for various reasons. It’s easy to start feeling isolated here and opportunities can be limited. Do you ever get back to the island to visit?

Thank you for sharing! I always grew up in Minnesota, and I felt the same way. I felt the need for a new experience. At first, my husband and I moved to California with my parents. Then we made the move to come to Ohio. We have no family or friends here. It was scary, but we took the risk. Honestly, it is not so bad. The feeling of being able to explore and experience life away from comfort. I would say it's one of the best things we have experienced. It still has its challenges of no babysitter. Our kids are still young, it was a bit tough. I'm thankful I landed a work-from-home job and don't need childcare at all. Overall, he experience is one of the greatest we have had. People should do it more often and just take risks!!

As a troubled teenager on the East coast. My trip to Oahu with my family to visit my uncle/cousins opened my eyes and gave me a purpose. Life on Oahu in the 90s was fun. Oahu gave me an outlet away from the social chaos of the mainland. Saved me with aloha…true aloha.

Hey bro.. i recently stubbled across your channel. Enjoyed your adventures. Astonishingly and surprised to see your big move.. happy for you brother. Very well explanation of your life of choices..Lately, myself I’ve been thinking the same way. Idk if it do has to do with the age (im 100% sure it does) but man.. your way of thinking correlates well with mine. Every morning i say to myself.. “theres got to be more than LIFE than this.” Unfortunately im in that 9-5 and picking up to leave is not easy… maybe in 10 yrs. 😢 But im happy to see you’ve succeeded and accomplished some of your goals. Looking forward to seeing whats next in your fam’s journey.. def keep us all posted in your vid logs

Wow! I came across your video about your trip with your parents to Laos and then seen this clip of you moving to Hawaii. What a coincidence, Welcome to Oahu! We have lots of Thai and Lao communities here too.

Best of luck with the move, at least your family is here after the pandemic and not on the islands in the middle of it. (Three months of staying at home with 3 kids are not much fun. )

Thank you. My friends shared their experiences of what it was like here during the pandemic. Some of them really enjoyed how quiet it was on the island. but I get it, trapped in a house with 3 kids is never fun..lol
