Thank you for this informative, wholesome video! As a non-American, I appreciate the fact that you didn't just list a bunch of random stats, but you actually took the time to comment on things in a personal and very human way.
Very helpful for getting an overall feel for the area, thank you! I’m considering relocating to NC or TN from Utah and feeling kind of overwhelmed… I appreciate the local perspective yall offered here.
Definitely tricky! It depends what you’re looking for , but we find people love north Raleigh for access to lots of shopping and beautiful green spaces so I’d start there!
Thanks for your informative videos. My family and I are considering moving to the triangle area. We would be moving from DC. We are a multiracial family with 3 boys. Which of the 3 cities has the most culturally and socioeconomically diverse population? Thank you!
I kind of find it offensive that you guys never mention any of the great HBCU's in the area when you mention schools! I watch all of your videos and really enjoy most of the info you provide, but it would be great if you at least made mention of the other wonderful institutions! 😊
Hey! First of all, thank you so much for watching our videos and your kind words about enjoying them! We really appreciate that. Second, thank you for bringing this to our attention. If you haven't seen our Durham Top 10 video, we do mention NCCU as one of the cornerstone institutions of education in Durham! Thank you again for your comment and feel free to reach out anytime you have any questions!
We live in Virginia on the beach but thinking of relocating. We are a christain, homeschooling, “crunchy” /holistic minded, family with young kids. We would love to buy with some property at least an acre. Where would you personally point out for us to look in the area please?? Thank you
Thanks for the question! It really boils down to the budget honestly. You can find an acre in most areas but an acre in Cary will be completely different to an acre in North Durham! If you wanted to live in the more of a rural setting, I would say North Durham, Mebane, Youngsville, Fuquay, and Clayton could be good options! Let us know if you have any more questions!
I currently live in London, UK, and have lived in lots of cities around the world (eg. Vancouver, Toronto, Manila, Jakarta). My folks are in Raleigh, and I'm thinking of moving closer to family. What would you say about the international community in Raleigh?
There is definitely an international community in Raleigh (really all throughout the Triangle). The universities, medical systems, biomedical companies, tech companies, etc bring folks from all over the world to this area!
Without getting too much into politics...can you tell me how was Raleigh and North Carolina in general with covid...like were thr kids required to wear masks in school for the last 2 years? How long were masks mandates? Do commercial and entertainment venues require people to show proof of vaccinations? We are pretty conservatives and are thinking about relocating....but now there are all this things to worry about too...
Thanks for watching! I can really only speak of the Triangle. Most school districts did require masks and most of those have ended. Durham and Orange County still have the mandates. As far as other mandates, I don’t really know about entertainment venues in the area. We have young kids so we don’t have hobbies haha.
