The income is a bit misleading 4300 is definitely not the lowest. I am in my type of job good payed but am still lower than this. Further important is to say the income which you named is Brutto (pre-tax). So a lot of money will be used to pay your taxes. Further you have to remember in a lot of places you pay up to 2 monthly loans for taxes. Of course there are great places for low taxes (Lucern, Zug) and great places for high loans (Zurich). But the rest of the video I can mostly agree with and I think Switzerland is definitely a great country to live in

You might risk ending up as a lonely person if you move to Switzerland, if your social skills are not excellent. Swiss people are not very open and most of them are not looking for new friends. This is the experience many immigrants made. Portugese meet with other portugese, turkish meet with other turkish, Germans meet with other Germans in their free time. Don't be surprised, I warned you.

It's not that easy with the high income and low taxes. As a school leaver, I earned just 3500 per month in my first job (bicycle mechanic). It sound's like much, but that was before all the deductions (old-age pension, social security, etc.) and then it was about 3200. In addition, there is about one month's direct federal tax every year (and no, not everyone earns 13 months' wages here). And a fact is that if you live in a canton where the taxes are low (Zug) the rent for houses/apartments are directly much higher for example for a 2 1/2 room 2000.-. In addition, living in Switzerland is generally very expensive. Let's take a look at MC Donalds as a simple example - a normal cheeseburger costs 2.90 here, which is over 1.00 more expensive than in our neighbouring countries. the same applies, of course, to all food, especially meat. Also care products are almost twice as expensive in Switzerland as in the neighbouring EU countries (that's why it's a routine for many Swiss to travel abroad to shop there twice a year, which is frowned upon by some people). We also pay twice for our rubbish disposal (once we have to buy fee bags or tokens so that the rubbish is collected at all and on top of that there is the annual disposal tax. Per 35 litres of waste, the bag costs about 2.50 euros. Nothing is free in Switzerland (public transport, compulsory insurance, electricity, water, legal protection and the list goes on). An example: A person earns 4500.- without deductions 4100 with deductions. Rent: 1500.- Health insurance: 300.- Taxes per month: 400.- Electricity and water: 200.- Locomotion: 350.- Food: 400.- Internet/TV 160.- and there would be many more small things (netflix etc etc) Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator (free version) weil faul

@DramaQueenMalena
@DramaQueenMalena 2 года назад
@@bisonbro7 Great. Two Cantons with very few inhabitants and cities with what 2 or 3 cities with 20-30,000 inhabitants? I know that you pay to other Cantons like the one I live in. I don't know what you pay to the cities of Zürich of Lucerne but I can tell how it is here in the city of Bern: We pay for museums, parks, swimming pools, cultural events, centers for young people, offers for parents, elderly, immigrants. We pay for building parking lots, streets, security, cleaning of the streets and many things more. And everywhere you go you see cars from other Cantons. They would never live in Bern because we are crazy to pay all these taxes. But if a music festival, a sport event, a swimming pool, a market, an information event for parents... is hold and it's affordable or even free they come and they never seem to realize that someone pays for it. And we also paid for the new traffic system that allows ambulances to better reach the university hospital where people from everywhere come. And we expanded the public traffic net for all those coming to the university by train. And as I live in the city of the government I also see the streets and the cleaning up after a demonstration and how many police officers we have to employ. And how many buildings are rented by the government or by national headquarters of federations like the ones of the university directors, the bakers, the car drivers and other organizations who don't pay taxes. We have kindergartens where none of the children speaks German at home. You cannot compare the situation and the public service needed.

@@DramaQueenMalena stop, stop! With one exception (Ka-We-De), outdoor pools in the city of Bern are free of charge. The enumeration of what "you" (i.e. the city of Bern) pays for everything is ultimately the same as what other cities or communities have to bear. Be honest, right now in the city of Bern, how often have you looked at the Bernese Oberland with the beautiful treetops? There are also people living there who work/pay for the preservation of nature that you look at and enjoy. Especially when it comes to community, we are not usually the ones who put everything on the gold scales. But in terms of taxes, you'll certainly get off better in some other cantons/communities, whether you then have the same landscape, culturally is another question besides what your own claims are.

Been there twice myself, and is my #1 country of choice to live in but I'm not wealthy enough to get residency there. At least I think, plus with all of the Draconian vaxx mandates there and other surrounding countries kinda puts the Kibosh on that for me as well. Maybe someday in this world-

@VJ P there was nothing racist about his comment. He was just concerned with overwhelming large numbers of people trying to move in a tiny european country which is making cost of living very expensive even for the natives.

@@alystero8838 Switzerland's citizens lifespan is very large because of the high incomes that results people living longer and people moving there doesn't have any effects on the cost of life. It's the country because of it's very successful economy and Switzerland is the centre of all the banking and finances in the world.
