It's good to see that you're ok and settled in. The first weeks are usually the hardest. If you can, don't force yourself to look for a job right away, it can mess up with the mental health. Try to take things slower, don't make yourself overwhelmed and enjoy the country a bit before taking on more. Remember that you're doing this for the experience. Thank you again for making these videos

Well done, Shuya! You are really honest about your experiences and worries. Most people are shy to openly talk about them and try to show only the nice sides. I've got a couple questions. 1. Does university not offer any counseling services that may help you with getting a job? Maybe some partnerships with industry? 2. Do you not want to try any easy jobs until you get your dream job? I suppose in Vancouver area, there must be ample jobs for students. 3. What about your college peers from Japan? Were they also not able to secure good jobs? Are all of them rich kids living on savings?) I sincerely hope you will overcome all these challenges. Ganbatte!

Thanks! I appreciate it. 1. Yes, it does. I'm just taking advantage of it. 2. It's definitely one of the options, but less prioritized at this point. 3. Some of them are working for Japanese companies remotely, and others have enough savings without ever working part-time. Obviously it's easier to work for Japanese companies or work in a local cafe. These are kind of options for me, but I just don't wanna go easy way in the first place. Rather than that, I wanna be exploring job markets, realizing harsh reality, and encouraging myself. Otherwise, it's not adventure! lol HIGH HOPES!
