Sofa bed in the spare room would be good. Have you thought about the sofa being an L shape the other way? So it opens up towards the kitchen. Then you can get up and walk straight to the kitchen when you need something. Also good for just an open inviting space and when chatting to friends while cooking etc. Will open the space a lot more

I actually like how it is. I think it defines the space better. I do mine the same. I like a cosy little spot, much like Auggie 😂 But it’s a good option.

I like the day bed idea!! You could also have air mattresses for guests to stay in the reading area 😊 rather than multiple beds in the guest room.

Definitely agree with daybed! I had one and loved it. Its cute but able to fit some guests if they come over but then if you just wanted to read or chill out, it works. Win-win!

Soph, you should get a super fun and funky cabinet, like a tall one to go on the empty wall in your kitchen next to the window so you will have more kitchen storage and and it will double as a cool statement piece

i think you should try put your sofa all the way by the wall instead of that hallways you made by pushing it away from the wall with the windows. like i feel it can work and will make you room bigger.
