It would be cool to see a video on your journey to becoming pregnant. Timing, two week wait, first symptoms and such! Any steps you took to increase your chances. :) Thanks!
Karissa, i used to watch you when you were saturday nights alrite and i just started watching you again and I wanna say i am very happy to see you and glen so happy and growing your family. I wish you and your family nothing but the best ❤️❤️
Ok when you said “it’s better than blindly ordering” and were referring to purchasing blinds I killed myself laughing. An absolutely perfect pun that I couldn’t let go unnoticed.
For the blinds, have you thought of putting a rod with a, almost veil fabric? So you’d have curtains over the blinds. It would make them look paler and maybe bother you less? Hope you find another solution instead of replacing them. It’s so damn expensive😆
Hey Karissa, as someone who lives in the ridiculous housing market of BC, I feel the need to congratulate you guys on such a huge accomplishment!!! Wish nothing but happiness and love for you, Glen and baby! 🧡
This really helps and opens my eyes to what to expect when renovating/buying. If you could do a seperate video in your spare time, about your experience buying and paying for little things when your settled in. Like the toilet paper holders. Absolutely crazy how expensive it is!
Oh, Karissa! Your story about building with a developer! My husband and I built a brand new house with a developer and just moved in last November. We had so many instances of the story you shared. My heart goes out to you and Glen. Not the kind of stress you need during your pregnancy. Praying it all works out and no more issues!🤞💗
Oh I hear you with all of this! We did big renovations on our home and moved into our garage while I was pregnant. We moved back into our home at 37weeks 😅 it was hard at times but I'm glad we were still living on site because there were many times I was chasing builders as work was not what was discussed. I had things in writing and I'm glad I did so I could chae them up and prove they were wrong. I couldn't imagine building as the work we did was plenty. It makes us want to do as much diy as we can
I just wanted to say that I absolutely love the vibes of your videos! Idk if thatll make sense, but I really struggle to sit through even short videos because I just find myself getting distracted so easily, but your tone never fails to kee me engaged to the end of even half hour long videos! Much love xx
I know you're in Canada...I live in Florida, and there's a place called Habitat for Humanity, and they sell all of the things that you could need for a home, for super cheap... the items are all donated from home builders, that have left over items... check your city to see if something like that exists.... congrats on the new place!
My Sunday is Made!!! Your videos give me life and you are just glowing. Would love to see your pregnancy experience and maybe some challenges or fears you might be facing with it all? Love you
Hi! I’m feeling like I want to get extensions again after watching this video! Also, most people told me about white chairs, couches and walls when i was pregnant, and we have had our furniture for over five years, no problem! You teach your kids and surprise! They learn! Love the chair, though from one mom to the other, you might want to put some soft foam covers on the corners eventually for a little! ;-)
That armchair looks so perfect for nursing in! I’m a big crossed leg sitter and chairs like this were absolutely amazing for me when we started our breastfeeding journey hopefully it works well for you and baby too!
Was just going to say, I’d love to hear your pregnancy experience so far! I’m 16 weeks with baby #2 and I’m always curious to hear about other women’s experiences :)
Blind tip: Home Depot! We order blinds for two of our very oddly shaped large windows and it was under $200. We got to pick which style and they cut to proper size. Watch for a sale to come up. And it’s sooooo easy to install your self your just drilling holes. I would never pay $7000 for blinds 💀
We have a new house too, but they had unfortunately already installed the towel holders/paper towel holders so we have the awful chrome ones everywhere lol. I want to change them out but you’re so right, they are really expensive! Also I remember the struggle of blinds. We couldn’t afford to get them installed so we went window by window and now have blinds I don’t like in our bedroom because of course we got those first
You can also try Wayfair for the black toilet paper holder too. I recently bought some cabinet handles (polished Chrome) because I wanted to change out my nickle ones around the house and the quality is good. They have a good variety and shipping to Canada didn’t take long either
Here I am again about the blinds haha 😂 I totally feel your pain! It honestly doesn't look bad at all but I hear you. The frustrating part is that as a professional blind company it's kinda their responsibility to explain ALL of that information to you. They are the experts not you, I would have also been on the same page as you and I'm so sure lots of customers would have the same experience. Disappointing! Your house looks great though...coming along beautifully. xx
was so fun to watch this! loved every minute! so wonderful to watch your growth from aus to canada - esp from the smaller city flat to this huge space 🥰 excited to keep following you on your journey!
Ahhhh!!!! I'm always so excited to see new videos from you and hear about how your life is going. As always I'm sending love you and your family's way and wishing you all the very best. The new home looks gorgeous and congrats on your pregnancy and bump growth. So exciting!! 🥰
Karissa congrats on the new home! Woo 🍾 A beautiful new chapter to embark ☺️ Also don't leave Miss Lola unattended in the backyard. Any predator animal can easily jump a 5ft fence and harm her. Can't wait to see her with the baby 🥺 Xx
Love your new home, so happy for you! The housing crisis in Canada is absolutely wild...my fiancé and I won't be able to buy for a very long time unfortunately. Keep the updates coming! :)
I live in Winnipeg and my friend has been building outside the city and her and her husbands experience has been an absolute nightmare!!! I cant believe the amount of crap and miscommunication they've been though with the builder
Same thing happened to me with blinds once and I cried (and can’t even blame being pregnant!) I did get used to them and kept them for years. You might learn to love them ?! 🤷🏻♀️😬😬 🤞🏻
I can't wait for pregnancy vlogs/updates 😄 very exciting watching your moving vlogs. I'll be moving next month finally 😁😅. Love you and love your videos ❤❤
Your house looks beautiful, and I always love your vlogs! Also, I would just like to say that I spit my tea out at your shower comment. Petition for all removable-head showers will now be known as "masturbating showers" 😂 Self-love showers are a thing for sure. IYKYK 😅 You're gonna be a wonderful, hilarious mom!
Love your videos! I don’t miss the turtle roll out of bed at 30+ weeks 😂 didn’t get to experience the full extent of it all though as my first and only was over 4 weeks early (he was fine like over 9lbs even though he was early) 😊
I’m currently 39+2 weeks pregnant and I’ve been having cankles since week 26, progressively getting worse. It’s sooooo annoying. The only footwear I can wear is my Ugg house slippers op my Birkenstock Madrid slides. Everything else is impossible 😭
My family is in the window and door industry and we get everything in writing always. If it’s not on the contract or otherwise written, it didn’t happen.
Yes thank goodness- central air! So grateful. It wasn’t keeping up with the 45° days tho LOL the house was perpetually 29° inside. Can’t believe it got that hot. We’re ok with the fires at the moment but damn it’s scary. We have a go bag packed and it will prob be Smokey all summer 😣 fingers crossed it will be ok. 💕
@@KarissaPukas so jelly that you guys have ac! We want to install central so badly but it's always a battle with the strata (you know how it is!). We're literally biting our nails watching the fires. I so so hope that you will never have to use that go bag and that you all stay safe! BTW, can't wait to see pregnancy vids and future mama content! My little girl is turning 1 this month and and having content from real, down to earth people this past year really got me through the hard times! So many fun memories ahead for you all, I am over the moon ❤️.
@@l_7376 OH nooooo I totally feel you. Hope you guys can get it sorted- strata is the worst lol. Thanks for the comment- I can't wait to share more pregnancy related stuff. I LOVE that so many of you are on a similar journey & that I have so many mama's in this community that I can ask for advice from. Feeling lucky :)
Are there Menards in Canada? That is where we bought a lot of home reno things a few years ago and they had pretty good prices but not sure if they are only in the states.
You said earlier that you had 4 bathrooms so I assumed 4 bedrooms but then said you don't have space for a beauty room. I'm assuming the master, the nursery, and Glen's office, is it only a 3 bedroom?? You must be sad to be losing that room, I know I would be if I lost mine 😔
4bdr! But we are using the 4th bedroom as a guest room/ yoga room etc :) I don't want to have a filming/ guest room it would be too messy/ crammed full all the time. It was just easier to downsize my collection and not have a dedicated filming space anymore!
I’m considering purchasing in a development where you can pick from a certain type of model home and customize and I was wondering how stressful that process has been for you. I have a lot of health problems and I feel like it’s hard aka impossible to find a pre-existing house that suits my needs but I also know the stress of building from “scratch” might be too much for me. I was hoping this would be a good middle ground. Do you feel like you paid way more for materials because of COVID?
If you get in early enough, it's pretty good! But with that said, that's where our issues came in- because they have a 'spec' build that they usually do and when you start to make changes, they are not used to making those changes happen. Our project manager often had no idea about what was in our contract because it wasn't his 'usual' build. it was a lot of back and forth with multiple parties confirming things & reminding them. If you have everything in writing and are patient chasing up with people for a few months, it's great- but it will be a little more stressful than just buying the spec model.
Great video Karissa you have such a cute 🐕 to oh 2 dogs I have 3 you live in such a nice place I hope to go back to Canada someday last time I was in Canada was back in 2009 in my home Town of Edmonton that is a lot of stuff to move out and rearrange 600 dollars that's money 💰💵 I don't have lol congrats on the baby coming your way is it a boy or a girl?
22:27 so when you told them you agreed on the price and the job (in writing), how to did they respond? Did they agree or did they try to come up with all the excuses and "small print" bs?
They just tried to go in circles with the other people involved- like oh, we'll have to confirm with the developer, and the developer had to confirm with the person who did contracts etc etc it was a giant fuck around of nobody 'knowing' what was going on lol. I DID THOUGH :P
