My old cat Misty dragged herself across the floor sadly she died at 1 from a car I have so many good memories with her though like when she had kittens (they were so cute) but they died as well soooooo I now have a 2 year old cat called Mjolnir and a kitten called Ebony (she likes playing with Mjolnir but he doesn't like it)
That would DESTROY me. I had a pit bull. I was moving to a location that I could not take her. I had a full blooded Indian friend getting out of the Military and moving back to his Indian Reservation. He asked if he could have her. As much as it KILLED me; I told him yes, but asked that he wait until I went out to eat to take her--it would be less difficult on me. I heard a few years later that she was totally enjoying the open space, and the whole tribe loved her. They had one small problem with her--she loved to chase the cattle. Now I am a cat person, and as hard as it was to give up my pit bull... giving up a cat is omg times worse...
Yorick Aname Asian Indian or Native American? we( Native Americans) were slaughtered by the people who called us Indians.. just please keep that in mind. (I'm half Native American, Apache) :/
4:16 omg! Look how Marmalade's pupils quickly go from being really big to small. You can clearly see how excited he is with his fast changing pupils. Lol so cute!
I thoroughly enjoyed this video! Thank you! After being catless for 1 year and 4 days after my "Rainbow" of nearly 12 years died, I just got a new kitten that looks a lot like Marmalade. Orange and white stripes, white chin and four white feet, steel blue eyes. I've named him "Northern Lights", to follow with the phenomenon of the sky theme. He had fallen down through a pipe of electrical wires and through a conduit box to become trapped in a concrete wall. A friend pulled out the electrical outlet and coaxed the kitty out. He called my office telling his story and asking if anybody wanted a kitten. I said "yes" and 20 minutes later, he arrived and I have a cat again. I'm so happy. After 4 days, he's eating more, crying less and becoming more normal-cat-like. I guess he's about 6 to 7 weeks old.
+Ray Chang May you enjoy your new kitten for many years!! You may even want to get him a little buddy to keep him company. Had to put my Oliver to sleep 9-23-15, but I am fortunate that my best girlfriend gave me his companion, Grayson nearly 4 years ago. He has been a tremendous help to me. I rescued Oliver from the City of Alexandria, VA shelter when he was a year old. He was 16 when he passed -- we never furget our dear furbabies. So what is your "nickname" for Northern lights? Have fun with your new boy!
I moved with my cat 8 years ago. It was a much shorter trip than you had, but I had SEVEN SOLID HOURS of meowmeowmeowmeowmeowmeowmeowmeowwwwwMEOWMEOWMEOWMEOWWWW.....! I thought I would lose my mind - lol!
Brand name Feliway spray helps them a lot to calm down during all types of stressful situations. Spray it in cat carriers, inside of car, on furniture, etc. It mimics the pheromones of a happy, relaxed mama cat, and helps them relax and stay calm.
Your new house is gorgeous! And I bet Cole and Marm like those new floors. I think my cats would. Actually I would like floors like that 😉 You both must have done a lot of preparation for your move because both of your cats seem to have handled it well. Congratulations!
+Cole and Marmalade It is colder for sure than California in the winter time, but in the summer time it can get pretty darned hot...and humid...did I mention humid? :P
Looks like you guys made the transition much easier by consistently playing with the boys. I'll bet that made it more adventure and less traumatic for them. I'll have to remember that method myself!
We have two toms who have different parents but met each other in the shelter when they were kittens; They became friends so much soo that the shelter staff decided they could only be adopted togehter. We adopted them at 1,5 yrs (non kill shelters only in Germany) and they almost always sleep togehter. Sometimes in a jingjangsymbol sort of way, paws on the other brother
I love all your videos, I absolutely adore cats. I can tell, they have great personalities & seem to adjust well with new adventures. Yall have done a fabulous job with them!
Chris you and your wife are the greatest. You put together such wonderful videos. When my spirits a bit low, I go right to Cole and Marmalade to cheer me up. THANK YOU AND STAY BLESSED. 5/7/17
congrats for the new home !!!! all of you guys are awesome A+ to hardwood floors, cause they are looking so happy playing, like discovering every single spot from new home. love u guys
graciana33 id love another cat as well, but mine is so adapted to me and my dads schedule that getting a new one would be hard for us and the cat. i used to have another cat, but they didnt get along very much. my cat hasnt had any contact with other cats since then, so she might not like it much either.
I used to watch Cole and Marm with my husband before he died last year. Watching these two again reminds me of brighter days. My Jeremy is playing with Cole in heaven. RIP.
NoiaGat The state of Illinois is horribly corrupt (our governors usually wind up in prison shortly after their term in office is over) and our state budget is nonexistant (our legislators have been arguing over a budget for the past year). Also if you don't live within the Chicago metro area and especially if you live south of Springfield which is in central Illinois) you may as well not exist.
Marmalade has such a unique expression of interest. His eyes are always bright like it's the 1st time he's ever seen a feather toy, bag, box, whatever it is. A Very sweet baby! Loved watching him drag himself across the carpet.
These 2 fellows are adorable! I love Marm's eyes, they are in a perpetual state of astonishment... and he never blinks! Cats and paper, why they prefer stuff like that to expensive toys i'll never know :D Your new home is gorgeous; you will be happy there and so will the fur kids.
Cole & Marmalade were just the perfect pair of friends. Both adventurous, and curious with a touch of ‘ nuts”! Marm just really has the greatest eyes-they make for such great expressions! I didn’t know you had been in Illinois!-Thats my home State! ( I really prefer California, but Illinois is where I landed after California-back in my hometown. My last move was only with a few Cats, but when i moved back from California to Illinois in 1991, I had to bring 12 Cats with me! Had Cat condos in the back of my Toyota truck-with camper shell. When I made stops, I collected crowds of watchers as I cleaned condos, fed & watered , & walked each Cat & rearranged where they sat so they each had turns where they could see out, Not ideal, but everyone traveled well. But it was a long journey. Some were foster Cats that I could place before I left, but I refused to leave them with a shelter.♥️
I really love your videos. It's so obvious how much you love these two and how well looked after they are....We had 2 black cats (sisters) that were house cats, but sadly we lost Little Piddle last October after a very short illness....It broke our hearts and I think of her every day. Her sister Muddle is fine....Hope you have all settled in to your new home....Looking forward to further updates....Take care...Freda
+Freda Griffiths Have you adopted another cat or kitten to keep Muddle company? My family had 2 black cat brothers for about 10 years, but one of them (Pluto) got put down last June from an injury with no sign of recovery. We still have his brother Mickey, who was lonely for the next few months and required a lot of loving, then one night in September we picked up a little gray kitten from a fire station where he had been removed from someone's car engine. When we first brought him home, he and Mickey hissed at each other through the cat carrier. We set up some kitten essentials in the cage for him, including towels, a small litter box made from a granola bar box, and small food and water dishes, as well as a stuffed toy pig for him to snuggle (which he did!) He was taken to the vet the next day, and was confirmed to have no ID device. We got to keep him, named him Smokey, and he and Mickey soon warmed up to each other and now they're as sweet and cuddly together as Cole and Marmalade. Mickey is happy to have another kitty to love.
+DisneyfanBeckers Hi There...Thanks for that....I'm not sure that she would accept another cat in the house.. She's really clingy with me, she even kneads and suckles on my fluffy jumper....Also at the moment I'm at the 'No more pets, cause I can't stand the pain of losing them' stage. But never say never!....Love to Mickey and Smokey....Have a great weekend...Freda
Congratulations to you all on your new huge home!! Wishing you all the best and I hope you a settle in nicely. With love from Dee and new baby kitty Ivy xxx
+Cattliant It's actually easy to tell when to use "Their" and "they're".......the word "their" shows ownership......like..."their" new car. Where as "they're" is just a shortened version of "they are" also known as a contraction. ......"they are going home (they're going home)
Subscribed :D I love you videos and cats, especially Cole. He is damn beautiful! (to admit I'm slightly envious of his hair, which is shinier than mine haha)
10:46 even though he trips i just love how determined Marmalade is to get back up and keep Chasing that thing on the slippery floor he’s basically just digging up mounds of dust at this point
This video just came out again.it appeared suddenly. Tender, sweet and heart breaking remembering when both brothers were together. God bless Marm, angel Cole, Jug, Zig Zag and their human loving and caring parents. So much fun together in this video.❤
+Cole and Marmalade my cats act really weird when traveling, why are Cole and Marm so good in the car? my one cat drools, and our older Cat went to the bathroom in the carrier😕 Cole and Marm are so sweet though😊
+Waffles Today X3 when my cat had kittens we were going to give one to my friend we had no carrier we just put her in the car and held her but she just sat in the front
Thanks for sharing all of your videos. What I enjoy the most about Cole and Marmalade is that they truly act like siblings, best friends, and buddies more so than I've ever seen before with cat pairs.
Chris, please give the names and locations of the hotels you staid in along the way. Places that allow cats should be advertised and talked about! Those window ledges are super!
Cool floors! And lots of space! I love how you minimized the desk to reasonable cat supervision. :D And sleeping in the bunk beds in the closet has been proven by tremendous amounts of research to be beneficial to one's own life.
i bet they will be in that nice bay window a LOT. My mom used to say when cats sat looking out a window that they were "reading the paper" checking out to see whats going on in the world. :) Good luck in your new home, looks like a nice place :) Headbonks from Merlin and Boots, who just watched he videos with me :)
I enjoy watching these older videos with Cole and Marmalade- I am sad that Cole passed away so young but I can see both Cole and Marmalade any time I want to in these fantastic videos 😊💕💕
When first moving I had cats who hoarded the boxes (I had a year to pack and plan the move), so every time I needed one, she had already absconded with it.
I enjoyed this video of their first road trip from Los Angeles to Illinois. I laughed and giggled because you both always make Cole and Marmalade feel so good 😊 and they are not stressed at all! Awesome job you two are great parents for your loving cats! You Both are so loving and caring and so playful! I hope some day I can have 2 kittens too. I am a first time home buyer but thinking of building a tiny living space for me and have a new family 2 kittens. I love when Cole and Marmalade are running around and chasing the bracelet; slipping and sliding around. ☺️🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺🌺❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️Aloha!!
Thank you so much for the footage! My family's moving soon, and I was wondering what it's going to be like taking our cat on a road trip when the only time we've taken him in the car was to go to the vet. Thanks for your other videos too, our vet was telling us we needed to brush our kitty's teeth but we never really got around to it or known how. We've got an adorable, chubby orange tabby and I'm glad you're making content it's an example we can follow on making him the happiest possible, as I see your cats love you and are super playful. Anyway, thank you so much!
I love it when cats are chasing each other fully into the chase and then next second one stops and licks himself quickly then its back on again!! I love Marmalade and Cole they have the sweetest, funniest personalities and I can't stop watching all your videos :) My cats are definitely not as active as your two.
