It's absolutely ridiculous in this day and age for people to still believe black cats are bad luck, or un-adoptable! They're my favorite as well.

Well, we love our fur babies but have given them extra hugs and kisses today in memory of Cole. And what a wonderful idea to donate to animal shelters and rescues in his memory. Rest In Peace Cole.

I adopted a beautiful black cat 4 days ago at an animal shelter. She's so sweet and I'm grateful she chose me.

I was heartbroken to hear of Coles passing today. He touched so many lives, and made a huge difference to the lives of black cats everywhere, showing people that they deserve to be adopted too. Rest in peace little angel.

I love black cats too. People always go for tabby or ginger cats. Black, chartreuse and brown cats tend to get pushed aside when it comes to adoptions. Mine was grey, Russian Blue, without the pedigree papers, naturally; we got her from a shelter. Sadly she passed away this year due to skin cancer. If I get another cat, it's going to be a dark coat color as well.

I just rewatched this video after I found that Cole is in kitty heaven. I started to cry.. I've always had black cats and if I had more than one, at least one of them were black. We're currently searching for a rescue cat, but cat shelters in Denmark are hesitant to adopt cats to people living in apartments. I don't know why, because all research shows that indoor cats has a longer lifespan, but I see it as , if the cat has been inside all his/her life, they don't miss going outside. We live next to a busy road, so I'd never let my cat go outside unless he/she could get accustom to a harness. Take care and my deepest condolences ❤️

Rogue is my black cat. She was a kitten I managed to catch who was near death. Feverish, emaciated and covered in fleas, she proved to be one hell of a fighter though there were days when I wondered if it would have been better to put her down and end her suffering. Two years later, she has grown into a beautiful albeit shy cat and our bond has never been closer. Rogue was actually a chocolate brown when I first caught her. I was surprised when her coat changed to a deep black as she grew. She now looks almost exactly like Cole. Except she is smaller, slimmer, and her eyes are a beautiful shade of deep green. If there is one thing that black cats have going against them though, is that they can be a little harder to spot. I have accidentally sat on Rogue more than once!

Thank you to everyone involved for rescuing and saving little Cole's life, and for you guys being the great people you are and taking him in and loving him. What a joy he must have been having him as your family member. I'm glad I stumbled across you guys on RU-vid then glad I found you on Instagram. I'm glad that I got to see the little boy when he wasn't sick and felt good and obviously even in the end. He was a very very special boy who has thousands of people that love him all over the world. Such a sweet face, such a good nature. I will always miss him but be grateful that I knew him on social media🙏⚘🕊💔

Reminds me of Ashera my black cat. I found her as a starving dehydrated flea covered kitten in July of '98. She was so sick she had to spend 3 days at the vets in ICU. She was so anemic she needed a blood transfusion to save her life. She grew up to be an awesome cat. & lived to be 17 years old. She's gone now but she will always be one of my best rescues.

I had to come here in My Favs list to watch this video again. Can't believe Cole's left this world. He left a big hole in our hearts.

2012 was a dark year for me as in Nov 2012, I lost my mom.. 😔 but I'm so happy that Cole was born that year and had such a nice life.. May you rest in peace dear Cole!

You know I don't care if people think I'm a pansy or weak, but when I think about the abandoned animals out there I do tear up. This vid made me tear up bad. Me and my partner started out with one male cat 6 years ago and now we have a total of 6. The last 5 were all rescued, we would have had 7 but sadly the female kitten of the last rescue (2yrs ago) past away. I love when people rescue animals and can take care of them. I hate driving on the roads and spot a kitten ran over, or a dog.

Until this day black cats are STILL judged. My nana is of Mexican decent and yup they think that they are bad luck. I get it she grew up being taught that. I was at work one day and I was on my Humane society website. Know keep in mind I have never in my life owned a cat before so yeah I did my research. So I met Niko this was about a month and a half ago. My boyfriend and I drove to our Humane society 40 minutes away. I got my baby I named him Halloween, Hallow for short.He is the love of my life! My nana is meeting him tomorrow fingers crossed all goes well. He is well mannered and very lovable and loves to get picked up so yeah. Thanks for sharing Cole with us! and Cole thanks for being such an inspiration and standing up for black cats! Much love and support from Halloween and I all the way from Arizona.
