Agree..it was very picturesque at one time. But at age 76 and having several homes over the years, I learned the more you plant and landscape the more you have to maintain. And the older we get the more difficult it becomes.
@@janepatterson6779 so very true ,and it just breaks your heart to see it turn to chaos . When I lost my strength through old age and illness I sold the house before it all rose up and defeated me . I live in a condo now and though I used to dream of my house and garden I don’t any more , and am pleased with my move .
You have put all the other guys to shame. This is what we call entertainment and back to school basics, not fancing around sitting cutting grass. Man you rock......Jeff USA
I love watching before-and-afters, especially this kind where it looks like a completely different property. Their backyard was really nice under all those weeds. They had some really nice plants back there just waiting to be unearthed. You did a great job! I look forward to seeing more of your videos.
Have to chuckle each time I see you tackle these overgrown properties, and you don't like wearing pants! Even with my small yard, I couldn't do it...You have amazing stamina, stellar job young man!
As a once mad about my yard and gardens person, it's fun watching you do these crazy, overgrown yards, cause it's a lot of work and I don't do it any more. Amazing job, wish it was slowed down a little.💥💥💥💥🍺🍺🍻🍺
Another magical video!! I swear that trimmer is an extension of your arm.... amazing job and A+ for not freaking out with all those spiders!!! I’d need a hazmat suit!,😳🕸🕷😂
Good idea to whipper snip tall vegetation like this for the first “mow”. You never know what could be hidden that will wreck your mower like rocks, wood, toys etc. Nice job.
Sometimes these kinds of jobs are the most satisfying, though a pain in the ass, the difference can be phenomenal. I once did a job where I found a greenhouse and two sheds that the occupant didn't know existed! Ten foot brambles the whole length of the garden! 😂
I was thinking the same thing. I live in a relatively temperate climate here on the California Central Coast, and mine is in a pot outdoors. This gives me the idea of finding a corner to stick it in the dirt!
@@alanatolstad4824 Be careful though: Sansevieria grows rhizomes, so it'll spread underground. It can make inch thick ceramic pots crack and shatter, so who knows what it can do to house foundations.
In Melbourne, Florida (beachside) I have Sanseveria in my yard (all now dug out) that came under the fence from the neighbors’ unkempt jungle of a yard. My husband didn’t understand why I wanted it out (I don’t personally find it attractive), until I demonstrated how invasive it could be in this climate. I’ve spent hours digging and uprooting sanseveria and tradescantia spathacea (Moses-in-the-cradle or boat lily) because they are both so difficult to control. Admittedly, sanseveria is easier than the tradescantia, which is fiendishly tenacious. And people here just keep planting it...people don’t bother to learn or just don’t care which plants are invasive in their area.
I've never seen anyone work with so much conviction to the job as you do Sean, you never cut any corners, pardon the pun, if I lived in Ausie I would definitely employ you and get all my friends to do the same. Sue UK 🌻🌼🌸🌺
You are amazing! All by yourself and in one day?! Great job Sean!!! Keep up the great work and please stay with the wildlife there! Thank you for another great video!
One nice thing about the tall weeds in the garden - they're sure easy to pull out by the roots! My leg was in a cast back in '98, so I couldn't work in the garden. By the time I could walk around without much of a problem, some weeds were 4' high or taller. Using just one crutch, I was able to grab the tall weeds with my other hand, pull them up and get the garden looking better.
Nice healthy looking Blue Tongue Lizard, it will keep the snails down. All the comments about the spider, I thought it was a big one, not an itty bitty sized one. :-) Wonder what those folk would say about a harmless Huntsman. Seeing your videos makes me grateful that we moved to a unit before I became ill as I was the one doing all the yard work in our last place where the front yard mowing could fill the green bin. My tiny courtyard is a bit of a mess, but much easier to take care of when all you can do is 5 minutes a couple of times a day. Great job.
Hello from OREGON, USA. That was quite the job. The way it looked b4 u started, u couldn't understand what it was supposed 2 look like. Then u c the end, & oh I get it now. Job well done!
Omg so satisfying ..Omgosh somebody loved that garden at one time . The steps walls, what a beautiful hidden garden . Oh Sean you made that look fabulous . I almost wish you would’ve filmed the owners reaction wow well done mate
