We make it back into town feeling like National Champions! We get back to clipping pasture as we hope to complete the seemingly never ending task. Thanks for watching, eat beef, and God bless!

That storm when it came through Oklahoma yesterday, it took out power lines, trees, metal poles, etc. power was out for the majority of the day yesterday. Rained for the majority of the morning.

Yeah, it looked rough on the radar, but it was just heavy rain for us. Hope everyone made it through ok.

Go Vols!!!!! Seeing that salt block makes me ask this question, as a kid did you ever lick a salt block, have your kids? I know I did as a kid, lol. Probably what built up my immune system 😂the things farm kids do.

I certainly did and now I am a healthy 84 year old and seldom sick. Was raised in the hills of middle Tennessee. Lincoln county.

@@thomasharrington5369 I’m born and raised Eastern Oklahoma. Had horses browning up, my grandpa drove a truck and hauled for the co-op, pretty sure I licked at least 1 of every salt block they had in stock, lol

I don’t remember that I ever licked one. I did a lot of silly things as a kid, but I don’t think I ever did that.

Ok question, I've been gone for a while, back to bug u lol. Why are u clipping your pastures. You rotate them. So let them grow. Then at the end of the year cut and bale. Or cut and stack for haylidge. Also if the rains stop and the heat comes a long pasture will hold water in longer than a cut pasture, hence last longer. It's still early in the year.
@HurricaneCreekFarms
@HurricaneCreekFarms Месяц назад
We aren’t clipping much, if any, of the actual forage. Just trying to clip down the weeds (thistle, blackberry bushes, mulitfloral rose, etc) and knock the heads off the fescue. We don’t want to hay any of our fenced pastures, as it’s much more efficient to let the cattle do the work.
