Inception mode is so you can do a circular 360° motion recording. You hold gimbal parallel to ground and turn the gimbal clockwise to make a full 360° turn or more if you wish. In playback it is cool looking to do a single circle and if you have a device that's installed with image stabilizer it's really smooth. Not too many or playback can make you dizzy.

For Inception mode, you can hold the joystick either left or right. It will slowly turn up to 1 and 1/2 times in either direction. Pretty cool effect I use when shooting scenery videos or some extra clips for music videos. It’s actually one of the best feature on the Moza Mini😁👍🏽

High quality video but Dude. The flashlight inception mode is awesome. And automatic zoom with adjustable speed is gold as it helps with dolly zoom. Both these modes so good it why I bought the gimbal

Great! Question: how do you prevent the moza mini from angling from the horizon if you yaw with it? If I turn left or right, it does not stay level tp the horizon.

Good review. Like your place. If you're reviewing something, you should know about it, and you simply say, you don't know about inception mode. Press the button and check it out, think 360. I know I'm a little late here, but dji osmo 3 is already 6 months old. I'm looking for a side by side review of these two as osmo 3 doesn't support wireless charging

Incepcion mode is that you can twist the handle is circular motion and the gimball twist the image when you are recording

Hi Evan! I just bought a Mini Mi last night and followed all your instructions along with reading the booklet. Your video is great! However, when I am yawing the mini mi will physically twitch every 10-20 seconds.. you can see it in the video and hear a click as well! Have you come across this before? Do you have any advice?

I purchased the Moza over the DJI Osmo since the Moza's weight capacity is 60g higher than the Osmo, and I have a heavy Note 9 (300g with case). Any suggestions for a lightweight light that would mount to the gimbal's accessory port? I realize I may need to remove my phone's case to counteract the phone's heft. Appreciate any advice and this informative video!

Hi, Evan. When I power the device on, it starts spinning so crazy, my phone falls off of it. It is ballanced right. I updated the firmware, too. Any ideas, please? Also - my device does not spin 360 all the way. Will it, once it is properly set? Thank you much.

The video is very helpfull. What it doesn't cover is the first calibration setting. I'm quite intrested in this because my phone slighty moves automaticly when placen on my desk via the tripod.

Being it's July 2021 what would you recommend for a person now that hasn't used a gimbal before? BTW, I don't have long arms for selfies. Was wondering if I need an extension option.

I’m thinking of buying a Sony QX 10 WiFi camera lense to get better zooming capabilities. My only concern is that I’m not sure if the QX 10 will connect to the Moza Genie App so that I can control the zoom. Will it work in portrait mode? Also I added wireless mics but when I attach the receiver and plug intonthe phone it messes up the balance. Any suggestions on mics that will work without messing up the balance. I use 2 but qould like to have the ability to use 3 wireless mics. We do interviews but wirhout the mics is not working

It appears the track object function only works in panoramic (when phone is horizontal) since the track icon desapear from screen when phone is vertical position. Also, is there a way to make the track function faster? Trying to capture someone running rather than slowly walking.

hi Evan, my Moza Mini Mi Gimbal falls into sleep mode with a few seconds of being turned on. I havent been able to find a way to override this sleep mode. (tired pressing the on/off button but still cant make it work) .. tried to update the firmware but seems like im using the newest version.. any idea on how to to fix this problem? Thanks a lot!

When you are in video mode what are the round and square objects in the screen for?

I have the note 9 what’s the best gimbal to use with it and I have the moment wide lens with the extra weight do I need counterweight to compensate. It’s hard to make a decision on the right gimbal to purchase when everyone’s using IPhones.

Hi Evan, I'm trying to decide whether to go with Moza Mini-Mi or go with Zhiyun Smooth 3? I had recently upgraded to iPhone XS Max so I need that extra payload capacity. I read some reviews that Mini-Mi is having some motor issues after like 3 or 4 uses and it makes a lot of noise? Did you come across these issues? And which one would you recommend? I've watched couple other reviews of that gimbal, the inception mode is called that way after a scene in the movie "Inception" where in a corridor everything is sort of rotates, you are supposed to point the gimbal forward like if it was a selfie stick and not the usual upward and then the joystick controls the rotation of the phone, very cool thing! BTW, did you try the Freevision vilta M gimbal? if yes, how would you compare those two?

Thank you for this video. Really helpful. Please if you can help me. I have just bought one and tried to use it for a shoot. The picture when using the app was jittering, as if it was trying to focus but the shot remained in focus. I couldn't do anything to stop the camera/picture jittering from time to time. It was doing it when it was recording and also when it wasn't recording (me getting shot ready) it was not the gimbal shaking/jittering but it was the picture/ camera. Why? It has ruined all of my footage as it jitters spasmodically for no reason through every shot. It didn't do it all the way through just at random times. The camera does not do this when using the regular phone camera app. I am using a Nokia 5.3 with my Mini Mi and the genie app. Any ideas?

How does the customer service rate and compare between Zhiyun and Moza? Which brand has a better development team and longevity results? I'm completely new to the idea and just ordered a Smooth 4 and I'm curious if I made the right choice. I have much to learn. In this video when you demo'd the zoom using the scroll wheel, it was picking up noise from that action. Is that a problem due to unwanted scroll-wheel noise on the video results?

I just unboxed mine today and have watched this a couple times. I can not get my roll arm to unlock. I don't get any response from the joystick. Set up seemed so easy. I don't want to return until I know it's not a user error. My first gimbal. I would appreciate any help I can get. I chose this over the DJI Osmo Mobile 3.

Hello I bought my Mazda and sign up using your video it was working fine for maybe 2 days and now it's acting all crazy and then shutting off all the time trying to recalibrated are fixing back it's just keep acting crazy now can you tell me what I'm doing wrong and all the apps look different when I see you guys calibrating it the moza Genie doesn't look like what I'm seeing online
