@@vandammeshow The Moza R5 bundle include’s the pedal set. No clutch pedal so was about a $80 add on and the brake pedal kit was like $60-80, well worth it.
Moving from a G29 (which I have used regularly for 7 years) to the R5 bundle was like night and day. More force, smoother and no freaking clonking sound coming from the wheelbase which was the case with my G29. Sure, it is not a high-end direct drive wheel but it is a HUGE step from a belt- or cogwheel driven wheel. Once you go direct drive you never go back. Highly recommended product from my perspective.
great review! Nice to find a review thats realistic and about difference in the upgrade from your t300. Not sure if i can trust the reviews from the big sim racing channels that got the bundle for free.
I think those review are good. but they left me with some question. - Why those reviewer don't mention how it compare to T300. - Why most reviewer don't test R5 with bigger diameter wheel. - What game compatibility will be like? So I make this video to answer those question. I hope you found my video helpful. That's really keep this channel going. Thanks man!
I get where you come from, because most reviewers while they go into detail with DD wheels, the question for some is, what will the experience be like from an experienced G29/T150/T300RS user to an entry level DD wheel. They for the most part are using mid to high end wheels like a Fanatec DD1/DD2, Accuforce, Simagic, or Simucube wheelbase which has a higher torque. You might wanna look for RON on RU-vid, a German sim racer with reviews with ENG subs. While similar to other known reviewers, he tries to address to experience expectation for gear/belt wheel owners. :)
for me the biggest issue with big sim racing channels is the lap times they driving. Its below average slow. to say the moza r5 is for a weekend player or crap like that and then they drive 10seconds slower than most average players on acc.
@@CouchSlouch- Actually couldn’t wait any longer and decided to get the r5 bundle with brake upgrade, definitely the best budget dd wheel rn. Since it’s my first wheel I felt like 5.5 Nm is more than enough for now, tires my arm after a thirty minutes session probably gotta get to the gym lmao.
I intend to have my first wheel, which one do you think I should choose? I have looked at these 2 at the official dealer in my country, I got these 2 options: 1.moza r5 bundle 3 Pedals with break performance and wheelstand Total price 640$ 2.cammus c5 wheel with cammus lc100 and Full Sim Rig Total price 725$ Which option is more worth it? I have been hesitating for a long time, hope you can tell me your opinion.
still have that same opinion? i heard the upgrade from a t300 was small in terms of ffb and that an r9 would be a better option, but from your experience, is this good enough?
@@Rmamba24 it you mean boost update, it's good, but it's still belt driven and r5 is much metter in every way. Can't say about r9, but i'm sure it's even better. However I don't need such power in my sertup
Does your srp lite pedal stay connected in pit house? My pedals only show connected when I hit the gas or brake then immediately disconnects after I let go of gas or brake. Is that normal?
Hi did you feel a big difference going from the t300 to the R5? I just bought the t300rs gt from amazon at 499$ cdn but i can have a r5 bundle at bestbuy for 639$ cdn.thinking of returning the t300
I am looking for a first wheel, and undecided between the T300 and the R5. Do you recommend the R5 after having used it for one year? Or is the T300 a better option?
Hey this model is concurrent of csl dd 5hm right? So technically they are the same... So fanatec has an option of boosting power up to 8hm by connecting more powerful supply right? I have looked out and saw that the ports are the same, so the sistem should be the same. Your thoughts?
The original is here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dLpWEu8kCec.html but there are a lot of Chinese seller that make this adapter ready to use. For me at first it doesn't work well and I need re-tune it by reprogram and modify some value from arduino software. if you are not familiar with programing "at all" I would recommend buying a complete PC shifter. But if you have Logitech shifter and you can handle some programing his adapter is definitely a way to go.
t300 can apprently produce forces up to 4.5NM Constant.(previously stated 3.9) People are getting these estimations from the CSL DD using the 5NM power brick... Basically its 3.5 Constant and 5 peak. So ive herd of people going from a t300 to a csl dd 5nm and saying its weak in the turns and not as strong. They even say the boost kit 8nm is actually producing 6.8NM force. So when people say the 8nm feels like double thats because it actually is. So im not sure with Moza but yo people... it seems the t300 may still be on top.. even with these 5nm DDs.
R5 Clipping a lot, and if you lower the FFB it won't clip but it also lower other force altogether which I personally it reduce it to the point that i feel it too light. So i trade some clipping for overall experience
I don't know if it looks like a toy to me but it's looks a lot more like an electronic device than most sim racing wheels which I feel gives off a similarly non-rigid look to it.
@@adamkaczmarek1543 Then it is possible. These arduino adapter will turn your gear shifter into buttons and you can just assign it in the setting page of content manager
T300 GT EDITION FEELS MUCH BETTER AND SMOOTHER IN MY OPINION. SIM HEADS HYPE UP MOZA, ITS REALLY JUST HYPE. T300 IN REALITY IS BETTER FOR A FEW REASONS. DONT BE FOOLED BY THE HYPE.
@Vinícius A FEW REASONS... EXAMPLE T300 HAS STRONG FORCE FEEDBACK BUT SAME TIME VERY SMOOTH LIKE A REAL CAR AND NOT SO HARD AND RIGID. ALSO T300 IS COMPATIBLE WITH PS4, PS5, AND PC. MOZA IS ONLY COMPATIBLE WITH PC. WITH T300 WHEN I FINISH PLAYING PC GAMES AND I WANNA USE MY SAME WHEEL TO PLAY PS5, I CAN DO THAT. I WOULD HAVE TO DISASSEMBLE MY WHOLE RIG TO SWITCH WHEELS IF I HAD A MOZA. SO THOSE ARE A FEW REASONS.
@@BlackThorCarMeets I disagree. I had a t300 and doesn't feel so smooth compared to a DD. About compatibility you are right but for someone who only play racing sim in a computer it doesn't matter, if you play both, any wheel without compatibility is a thumbs down. For what I read and saw, the R5 have stronger ffb. Have you tested R5? I will test the R5 and will share my experience.
@@vsappel i'm happy with R5 but now I have move to Cammus. it's depend on what you don't like about T300. if you try to drift or race and the wheel is too slow then R5 will solve this problems. but if you are getting R5 I would recommend you buy Moza brake mod because default brake is so bad.
thanx 4 da vid but 👎the title says mozar5 from t300 wish u compare each other and made reference whats better than d other if u had to choose between both wich would u buy???
Still working great! No noticeable problem. but I almost did not use it anymore since I move to Cammus 15Nm. Moza R5 is a bit too weak for 30cm wheel which is the size I really like so I never go back to Moza lol
Horizon 4 was bad. I have hundreds of hours on my g920 in horizon 5 and it feels great around the rally adventure map. No where near as good as Asseto Corsa but honestly better than project cars 2 or the like
Mainly FFB setup and Game compatibility. But after everything is set and you know the process. It should be easy next time you play. Right now i'm really happy with it. But now 5Nm feel too weak. I would have got R9 instead. And R5 Pedal is not good at all.
@@BoreyEngineering so I do a lot of iRacing and I have my t300 set to 60% in the profile, so my FFB is relatively low. Do you think the R5 would give me what I need in comparison to what I’m running, or should I just grab the r9?
@@King1614 I would recommend everyone to get R9v2 instead. You could use that wheel for everything you will ever encounter in the future. R5 is just a half stop
Both moza & sim motion have the r5 bundle for 459 so it's only 60 more than the csl, with a much better quick release and don't have to wait until February 6th to get one
