Father Jacques Grad, Polish missionary priest of the Society of the Divine Word, has lived with isolated rural populations in Madagascar for thirty years. His life is entirely given to the proclamation of the Gospel, a message of love for all peoples. With this magnificent report, the young director Larry Lock takes us through sumptuous landscapes, to meet the tribal kings of Madagascar, these Mpanjakas who have become authentic witnesses of Christ.
This film won the Pauline Jaricot Prize in 2022, the 1st competition for missionary reporting, organized by the Pontifical Mission Societies of France. He received the Grand Jury Prize and the Video Reportage Prize.
