Man your channel is from heaven! Really appreciate your tutorials (it's my day 3 with the mpc500). Would also really like to see your overall workflow/approach video from turning on the mpc untill some sketch formation.... Best regards
Got the ram upgrade from MPCstuff..loaded it in, great!! 12 minutes sampling time hell yeah…now it crashes before I can even finish a beat!! Not only did it crash - it totally destroyed everything I had done up to that point and it’s an empty machine again!! It sucks cause coming from a sp 404 it’s a LIFE saver and so fun and intuitive but the issues I’m having are killing me, every single time it’s been crashing on me after the RAM upgrade
Again, thanks for all your videos, been watching them all on the MPC 500 I'm having one problem though - i need to delete all the files off the internal memory because for each project i only get 1 min of sampling time. Let me know you can help. Thanks man
The 1 min of sampling time is because the mpc only has 12mb of RAM, if you want more sample time then you’ll have to buy the 128mb RAM upgrade. A pain, yes, but at least it’s not as bad as the SP1200 which has 2mb of RAM😬
i dont think i've ever had that problem. The only think i can think of would be to check your mute groups, maybe you've got another sound that overrides the melody.
does it sound like its a high pitched 'electronic noise'? if it is then you should probably try and increase the gain on your mixer and not directly on the MPC. The mixer will hopefully have a lower noise floor and so you will not hear any/minimal background noise
hmmmm, that sounds strange. i was gonna say check that you've got the file in the right format but if you can preview it then that must not be the case. Ive never had that problem so i dont think i can help, maybe have a look around in the manual and on youtube
I’ve never had that problem, the only things I can think of is your memory might be full, the volume ok each pad might be turned down or the file is in the wrong format for the mpc
