Quick Tip: Tail Length is the parameter you really only want to mess with for fixing those choppy slices. "Use the Tail Start parameter to set the starting point of the tail for looping. Set this to smaller values for delay effects, or longer values for more obvious looping effects".
Thank you for another FANTASTIC video, brother. I think I am just going to say it: You are the absolute "go to" MPC One guru on RU-vid. Thank you so much for sharing your process and knowledge. And thank you for that playlist you shared as well. You are a blessing, hermano. Bendiciones!
What’s interesting here for me is you’ve extracted an interesting variation and new string articulation from the original sample. I’m waiting for my MPC 1 to arrive, but this gives me an inspiring idea to go crate digging, less known classical music in preparation.
Oh man brother I’m exited for your MPC 1 to arrive I’m sure your going to enjoy it. There is endless possibilities with this machine that I’m just scratching the surface on some of these videos.
Hey PBeats, Thank you for sharing this with me it really means a lot and I hope you were able to get some good inspiration from the playlist. Thank you for taking your time and sharing your feedback with me it really means a lot. Blessings to you
@@malobeats For sure! I found my way into someone that uploads japanese samples. My latest short is from that playlist. Now I'm going to take my time going through yours and that one. Thanks again. Gonna watch this one soon too.
Super dope video! My neck got a lil crook in it from watching all your lil tricks in the sideways shot but I learned so much I ain’t even mad atcha!!! 😆 And take this as the highest compliment: the beat is giving Wu-Tang! 🙌🏽
Oh man brotha I’m supper humbled by your input, and yea I am definitely doing my best to tweak up these videos for a better viewing experience so your feedback really means a lot, thank you for this 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
@@malobeats sista, honey! You think it’s only dudes watching your videos?! 😁 love your channel! I have a One Retro and I’ve learned so much from you, keep going!
Excellent tutorial as always. I’ve been using this sample tail for different sounds; however, sometimes it doesn’t work with certain melodic sounds. It’s definitely worth using it with beats or percussion. Take care 😇
Filling in the gaps should allow for melodies to blend better. It would work better than with drums to me. Sampling drums I feel like works better utilizing one sound and the step sequencer if not wanting to play it by hand. I’ve been playing my drums in layers. Like I’ll play each instrument 2 times in 2 different time signatures. Get very unique trappy beats
Haha I love the visuals you added with Godzilla coming through, yea I definitely tend to go more to dark dramatic sounds when it comes to sampling. Thank you for this input brother 🙏🏽🙏🏽
@Malo have you tried selling your boombap beats ? If you have do you get quit a bit of sales? Im not asking how much you make just wondering if theres a demand for them.
Hey brotha, thank you for this input and no I haven’t sold any of my beats I just make my beats and upload them to iTunes and also here on RU-vid but haven’t tried to put them out for sale.
Here’s a video I go through how I set it up and use it: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-tp4XBUDggww.html The side chain compressor on the MPC is one of my favorites out there
Definitely inspiring to watch. kinda curious how you'd work this into a breakdown or something. I get stuck in loop mode so to speak with any gear/software lately lol. anyway, nice work
Honestly I would just play it by ear I myself don’t play instruments and know nothing about music theory but I do my best to try and pitch up or down if you semitones till I listen to the base matching the key of the song. I’m not perfect all the time but it’s been working for me
