Hey Malo if you plug a USB into the back of the Minilogue and then in to the back of the MPC Key 37 you will actually see the MiniLogue in the MIDI ports of the Key 37. Then you will not need the MIDI cables. I currently use the Korg Wavestate with the X and the Key 37.
MPC used to stand for Midi Production Center. The best thing it does is sequence all your midi gear together. Sampling was just a feature of the original hardware.
Yo!! Thank you brother. I’m doing my best to switch it up whenever I can and explore new sounds that I’m not a custom to. Thank you, man. This really means a lot.
Keep it up brotha. No matter what, it’s all about being excited to do what you love to. It do doesn’t matter if it’s a good or bad beat, as long as it gives you happiness every day.
This video just showed up on my feed. I like when you said this is new to you, because I'm a synth nerd who just got a Live ll and using it as a brain to sequence my synths in my studio. With the 2 midi outs, and usb, I can sequence all of my synths at the same time if need be. I'm on the fence of getting the Key 37, that would be a nice addition to my Live setup. As of now, I'm using the Live ll and the SP-404MKII in my Live setup. The Key 37 would be perfect addition to it. You have a great channel with good info, especially for those of us new to the MPC.
Very interesting video. Isn't a USP port on Minilogue, cause you can do what you do with the midi cables with one USB cable whih co to minilogue to MPC and send Midi information. And it's the same process on MPC, you choose Minilogue in a midi track. It was a lot of fu to see how you did this beat. And i was very surprised by the way you use teRing The Alarm, it's very fun and cool. Great video. So cool to see you having fun to make beat. Thanks and Take Care.
07:59 -> as you are jamming or finding something that fits, when you finally find it, instead of hitting record to try to re-do it, then you could also just hit “Shift + Record” and then it would initiate the Retrospective function, correct?
I have been trying to MIDI in/out my key 37 with a Roland Integra 7. The Integra comes up if I do a USB connection but this then takes away the USB port to connect to my Scarlet so working with MIDI in/out cables instead. I have issue to change tracks on the Integra where I always have the same sound and flicking through the sound banks, I only get the same one sound. 2nd issue is actually recording what I am keying on the key 37 which does not record. I know I am doing something wrong and probably very stupid too but if anyone has done that and could help I would be very grateful! Thanks !!
