Great video, if you could go back in time would you still get the MPC Force? I know u use the Force as a sample clip recorder for ur external gear. Do u think the MPC One or the MPC Live 2 can do the same functions as the Force? I am asking bc I need a good sequencer to run my external gear. Like my modular, synth rack mounts, groove box, and S2400 sampler. What do u recamend? I appreciate your knowledge and input. Again Ty for ur help
I wouldn’t change a thing. Yes I’d still get the force. I’d get two of em. Lol but prior to the force I used the MPCX daily. I was still able to capture audio tracks and loops. The mpc one can do it too
Ty for the info, but the MPC One doesn't do clips like the Force correct? will the One work with ableton live as good as the Force with clips? I just want to make the right decision on its capability of working with ableton and putting samples in clips to use or save. Again Ty for your expertise on this. When I herd you talking about your set up I realized that is what I was lacking on a main universal sequencer to control the studio.
Hey Corry! Does the MPC One/the newer MPCs load JJOS2XL files correct because the "CC" values are definetely different in JJOS2XL than in Akai OS. I compared it with the regular OS on my MPC 1000. The beats I did with the Akai OS didn' t load up on JJOS2XL without issues. THX!
Hey man thanks for posting this. If you eject your drive in the browser menu, you won’t get that message. It’s finicky like a Mac in that regard. Two questions: If you load your content in via SD card, does that help negate the fewer USB connections on the back? Do you find the lighter background of the beige makes it easier to read the labels in various lighting conditions compared to the standard black of the other MPCs and the Force? Could there be functional advantages of the Retro colour?
Mane if they come out with a MPC Two with bigger pads and expandable storage ( and maybe battery pack but i wont be mad if they dont have that) in these retro colors, i would be all over that
Can you link where you get those stereo to mono cables? I’ve been using 1/8” stereo to 1/4” mono ones with adapters plugged in, so annoying. Thanks man!
Its NOT $100 extra. All Akai products went up in price. In fact, so has groceries, cars, cameras, rackmount gear, computers and paper towel. Great stream! #Inflation #MPC #MonitorYourWishlistPrices
Of course.... but yeah the joint in black was originally 699 then it went up to 799 and now the special retro edition is indeed $100 additional landing at $899
