I haven't used the maschine so can't compare them. I would say the mpc is very capable in all the things you mentioned. I would buy it again if needed

Yeah some sequences building up with the pad mutes then scrolling into new sections for some changes 👍

It works for me, though I prefer it with an additional synth or something. The first kind of distorted line in this is off the Skulpt synth. The inbuilt MPC plugin synth presets are good but don't feel very techno, but you can always make your own. This is all MPC One if you want more examples. @@dpalaoro it's recorded straight into the camera from the headphone jack at low volume (or it clips) so not the best sound...

From memory, none on the TD-3, just lots of distortion, but I think I ran the whole thing through the mpc air channel strip which has compression and EQ
