I love Somi's personality. She doesn't try to constantly look perfect and cute and delicate. She's not afraid to just have fun and be silly, it's really cute and refreshing.
She enjoys her win like every other human would do and she is not afraid to show her personality, express her happiness and have fun. She is acting like her true self not wearing the mask of “decency”.
I thought it was pretty unclassy of her to be spitting out the lemon all over the stage and have her own back up dancer pick up her own lemon full of saliva at the end. I understand she’s celebrating, but it’s basic social etiquette. The other lemon that she spat out was still on the floor at the end... I don’t know, she didn’t even help her backup dancer take back her dirty lemon. But congrats to her

Or make someone else pick it up for you or just leave it on the floor? Just leaving it on the floor doesn’t show you have good etiquette. But then again I understand that the stage is hectic and there is a lot going on. I’m in no way shape or form trying to attack Somi. I’m just saying humble character can be seen from little things!

Somi likely had this all pre- planned with the crew, and the dancer just took a little extra work off their hands. It's that simple. It has nothing to do with somi being classless, or lacking etiquette... she was celebrating her win... with her team. That's it.

Not sure though if which is true. But kind a hoping its true cos if its a real thing why would the staff throw it back on the stage to avoid further damage

Do you all get that encore stages are supposed to be fun and idols usually promise to do smth(eating lemons, ice etc) if they win. THEY DON'T HAVE TO SING. But thats what I like about BLACKPINK encore stages. Them singing live. But I don't have anything against those who don't. Everyone knows Somi can sing well. Its just impossible to sing an entire song like this solo. Its different for groups. For other groups who use it as an excuse because they clearly can't sing is a disappointment.
honestly, encores should not be taken too lightly coz it's a chance to showcase live singing coz let;s admit that the performances showed got 50-0 percent background audio so that artists can focus on performing and the choreo. encore however removes bg audio but does not pressure the artists to dance perfectly so why not just have fun and sing appropriately?

It's a tradition at this point( Twice ate ice cubes; Wanna One putting weird makeup on each other; Shinee doing some acrobatic stuff; Red Velvet eating bingsu). And it's not like groups do it for every encore stage, they just do it sometimes. Most of the time they showcase their vocals, as you're saying:)

this is the best encore performance ever! SOMI is just naturally entertaining and authentic. I can feel her joy of winning, the sourness of the lemon and that heartbreak moment when she thought she ruined her first every music award trophy. Love her so much.
