Hi Naki! Thank you very much for making such useful videos on PV system. However, I wish you could make a video of complete PV system, i.e. right from starting with solar panels, then Boost Converter, then MPPT, then 3 phase inverter, then transformer and finally the grid. I need complete design and Simulation Sir. Plz Plz Plz help me!!!
Hello!..There are few things I wanted to ask...Can we add a boost converter into this and if yes can i control it with the same MATLAB MPPT function or do i need to make it separately..and how do you calculate the deltaD..for some you take as 0.125 and for some 0.01..like how do we know what to take!..
Hello, your videos are exceptionally helpful but it would be even better if you could talk and explain the process throughout the design. Anyway, really helpful video.
Dear Sir, I am unable to get the output. my pV power is not being tracked, since reference current is not correct. Also inverter current is not following the reference. Can you please help me in correcting the same? 🙏
Dear sir, cok tesekkur ederim for your videos, I've been learning a great deal from them by redoing your models from the beginning. I happen to have difficulties attempting this one. I believe I'm sticking to your steps quite accurately but my final results are off, mostly my reference current seems to remain 0 at all time and my reactive power is sitting at maximum as soon as my irradiance starts.. My guess is that it comes from the MPPT algorithm but I happen to be beginning on the topic and honestly don't know much about how to fix, if you could assist me or point me toward where to find help it would be greatly appreciated. Iyi gunler dilerim!
First of all, thanks for your interest in my videos. Please check the inverter control algorithm. To do this, add constant irradiation for PV(500W/w2). After that, add a constant instead of Iref. Then, start the simulation and increase the reference current constant step by step. If the inverter control side works properly, please let me know. Otherwise, please check the inverter control algorithm step by step.
It will be better to give proper reference paper and explanation Also if you have time make detail video on VSC control and designing from scratch with proper designing
In the below paper, I used the same method to combine MPPT and MPC. You can check it. My other paper which is related to this topic will be published in a few weeks. I will share it with you. Paper: A Model Predictive Control Based Hybrid MPPT Method for Boost Converters. International Journal of Electronics (in publish) I think the control strategies are very similar to my previous video. But, if it seems confusing, I may make a video about it. Thanks.
@@nakiguler Sir I did practice on the model but having some bugs in it, and also I don't know how you constructed the signal in signal generator. I did email the model please go through it.... Hope to hearing from you soon
Hi Mr. Naki, In the model, you used the MATLAB function of MPPT which is different than the one used in boost converter modeling. I would be grateful if you could give some ideas about it or share the function block. Thank you.
Hi Naki, i noticed you skipped the dc/dc conversion and/or energy storage, do you believe this is viable to implement? Since the inverter is basically a buck circuit, one should connect a lot of pv panels in series to get enough voltage, shading on one panel could impact the output considerably. The idea seems tempting for the costs though
Hi Naki, thank you very much for helping us. I would like to use this system to simulate a residential system with 10 PV modules in serie and 2 parallel strings. I've tried this but it's not working when i put less than 16 modules in serie. What do i have to change in this model to get a working system with only 10 modules in serie?

Great work sir , when I use the refrence current in Mppt algorithm the system worked just when increasing mppt iraddiance not deacresing , what do you think is the reason ?
Thank you for your previous supports. Recently, I am researching about sliding mode control for PV array grid connected. But I have some problems. Can you give me some supports? Thanks
hello sir, first of all, 1 love your work, I recently started to follow you and i can't stop ..lol.... really appreciate what your doing for others...... I don't understand how did you get that signal for irradiance to apply in the PV array; (signal builder); did I miss a video for that or something ???

You're welcome :) You should add it to DC point of the system(input of the inverter). You may need different system design. Because, the battery will be in charge and discharge. It requires a management algorihm which will provide a power management between all the sources and loads.
Sir, Your videos really helped me a lot in designing control logic for inverters. I'm now working on a paper of "Electric Spring for Voltage and Power Stability and Power Factor Correction"- IEEE trans on industry application, vol, 53. July/aug-2017 , but facing some difficulties in designing the inverter control logic. Can you help me on that? Thanks in advance.
@@nakiguler In this system the inverter is connected in series with a non critical load and the whole system is connected across a critical load, and the system is fed by a intermittent source. To keep the voltage across the critical load constant, we need to trigger the inverter in such a way so that the inverter can supply required amount of active and reactive power. For this purpose I have taken single phase dq transform of the critical load voltage and line current and synchronized this with the load voltage using PLL , after that I compared the Vd with the constant reference voltage and Iq with zero( to make Id have the same phase as Vd, and have a good power factor), and then I have taken this two error signal and performed inverse dq transform to create the reference signal for pwm generation. But the system is not working properly. Is there any fault in my logic??
Another question- How to understand different kinds of control logic(like voltage control, current control, power control) for single phase grid connected inverter?? Any reference?

Sir, i want to ask something make me so confusing, which value that i need to change if i want to scale up the output power to 500kW? thank you please give me explanation sir🙏🙏
Hello, i have simulation of a single stage, single phase flyback inverter, feded by a pv array. The control is okay but the output current can't be in phase with the grid voltage, even i have a PLL controler but nothing works, with all the modifcations that i do current and voltage can't be in phase, current is lagging about 90 degrees, what can i do?? :(
Thank you for your efforts, i have one question, i have 4 batteries and 1 super capacitor total power of 25 kw, each one connected to dual active bridge converter, then connected to grid through inverter, i cant get full power from inverter which is 25 kw the max power i got is 10 kw
There are a lot of reasons why you would get less depending on your circuit, if you did something similar to this video, probably your cuadrature current Iq is not set to 0, else if you implemented the converter circuits they must be operating at a range where you can draw power from the batteries for example a dc/dc booster circuit could need more current that the batteries can supply during a certain point i mean peak current, a capacitor could solve that. The list goes on...
Thank you for your reply, well inverter control i used this: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-V8bps7KfHkw.html And for dual active bridge converter control i based on phase shift modulation
Cristian Matteo can make it more clear, which capacitor do you mean iam already put capacitor on input and output By the way, the converter works in two mode , charging and discharging

Hi, what's the function of the RC-filter before the inverter en the L-filter behind the inverter. And what's the theory/reference (saw your paper) /formulas behind the values of these blocks? Thank you in advance!

Naki GÜLER thanks for the response! I mean which formula do u use to calculate the values (for R,C,L,..) used in both filters. And what is the function of the L-filter behind the inverter?
Thank you for the great video. But I'm getting some problems. Can you help me? Simulink detected an unspecified rate transition at output port 1 of block 'PV_MPPT_INV/Discrete PID Controller/Saturate'. However, Simulink cannot automatically insert a Rate Transition block because one of the following scenarios exists: - Fixing the unspecified rate transition requires rewiring of the blocks; - Simulink cannot choose an insertion location for the Rate Transition block because multiple possibilities exist; - The unspecified rate transition requires the insertion of a Rate Transition block on a virtual bus signal. - The output signal of this block is being logged. - Either the source or destination is a state port. Rewire the block diagram or manually insert a Rate Transition block to resolve the unspecified rate transition.

Hi, if Simulink doesn't like your unused outputs just wire them to terminator blocks from library. It has the same effect on their output, if you still have different result then the error is somewhere else.
