The chair of the Commons privileges committee Harriet Harriet has defended the work of her panel.
The senior Labour chair clashed with Johnson loyalist Jacob Rees-Mogg in a feisty Commons exchange - telling him Rishi Sunak’s government had backed her leadership of the cross-party committee.

Rees-Mogg was absolutely and unequivocally owned by Harman here. It was a joy to watch. She had that look on her face, as if to say: “that’s right mate, you sit back down and slouch back into thine couch. Let the grown ups get on with governing.”

So Boris intentionally chose somebody he could later dismiss as being biased? Looks like that backfired spectacularly then. Never mind that the four Tories on the panel also voted the same way, and that only 7 Tories in a Tory majority House of Commons voted against the committee.

The prat from 1855 . Upset because his lying scunbag mate that gave him a job he was never qualified for and a knighthood. Is being held to account. How can this be in a country such as ours . That we the law makers can actually be held accountable for such things. We must reform these draconian measures that hold us the most prestigious government to of ever walked the corridors of this great nations parliamentary buildings. We are so special and important that none should ever have the authority to be able to criticise us or hold us accountable. . Its an outrage and it must be stopped.
