My grandpa cooked breakfast every morning and he would let my grandma sleep til it was ready. They were married for 67 years when my grandpa passed. You could see they were still madly in love.
@@terrijob7818 🥰 LOL! I agree with you about bacon grease being like gold... but us Northern people love our bacon grease to! I grew up with bacon grease ! Flavors everything ! From one bacon grease lover to another .👍.. 😉from the Ohio Valley ... along the Ohio River! ... Take care 😊💞
Naw! If you want more gravy, you have to add another spoonful of bacon grease. I was going to make some tonight for supper but my wife is making Salisbury Steak and smashed taters. Mmm.. good!
Mr Brown. That is wonderful to see you cooking for your Bride. A few years ago I was sick and in the hospital for 9 days. When I came home, I was weak and tired. My husband took such good care of me. I will always be grateful to my sweetheart of 47 years for taking such good care of me till I got stronger once again. You both take care.
I remember as a child, my mother would make homemade biscuits and gravy. Instead of sausage she put ground beef in it. She called it sh*t on a shingle. We had this when we didn’t have much food. We was a family of 9 kids and very little money.
I do this sometimes. If you add some fennel seed a little sugar and other spices and herbs to the hamburger, you can hardly tell it from sausage meat! I fooled my family more than a few times. 🤗
I have to tell you guys out of all the youtube channels I watch you are without a doubt my favorite. I really do love you guys. With lots of bear hugs and kisses. 🤗🤗
My husband told 45 years ago when we got married if he ever stuck his hands in dishwater they would fall off. A few years ago he had a kidney removed. Was complaining to Dr. about hurting Dr. said get up do something like wash dishes. I said did you say wash dishes. He told me his hands would fall off if he ever stuck them in dishwater. Dr.looked at husband and said hate to do this to you man but he lied to you. We all laughed.
My grandpa didn't cook for himself until my grandma's Alzheimer's was so bad. He usually ate supper at the cafe, but he learned to make what he wanted to eat and enjoyed canned biscuits just fine. His pear preserves turned out more like candied pears in pear syrup, but he had a *major* sweet tooth so he was happy ❤
Your grandpa must have used my recipe! The first time I made pear preserves, I couldn’t pry them out of the jar with a chisel! 🤣 When I did get a bite, it was like pear candy. Really chewy pear candy!
Ms Lori I know you know this but you are blessed woman having your honey cook for you. Mr Brown, I hope you know Ms Lori loves a man in the kitchen. Especially if he’s cooking. See that smile on Ms Lori’s face. That’s called love.
Mr Brown is so sweet. Him cooking and plowing the snow to make a path to the greenhouse. The snow looks like it is perfect for making a snowman! Lovely couple!
I love watching you and Mr. Brown! You both glow with the love you have for each other and the LORD! My hubby tried to help me in the kitchen when we got married 16 years ago. He would ask me what I wanted him to do to help me but it was faster for me to just do it myself. We agreed that I would cook and he would clean up! God bless you!
Proud of you Mr Brown Enjoyed I’m sure Ms Lori. The snow and the cold will go away. I’m heading to MI in the morning Annie my daughter are making popcorn and sweet tea and watching your canning videos Saturday Night. We are going to vegetable market canning together next week. She has to have two surgeries. You all pray for her??? Again thank you both for being there for me. Many thanks!!!!!
Gotta love a man that knows his way around the kitchen! Looks delicious Mr Brown. Miss Lori you a one blessed lady! My late hubby was the only person who could ever make my eggs the way I like them every time, I miss that man! Love y’all.
Good job , Mr.Brown man after my own heart. He can build cages and make sausage gravy. Ms. Lori is a lucky woman 😄 Beautiful couple full of love. Never let that go.
I loved my husband being in the kitchen "helping" with the cooking/cleaning. He would sneak a kiss on the cheek or a quick hug, yes, the best times in the kitchen. How I miss him. Love seeing you two doing so many wonderful things together, so many wonderful memories. I just love seeing your smiling faces, you two just glow. Thank you for sharing!
Every time I watch your shows I get inspired! I’m from South Carolina! I grew up eating this way. The great school lunches.... all of it! Sadly, As time has passed families changes by Gains and losses and there is work, life just changes! You shows Just brings back so many warm memories for me. Also, it reminds me... there are still Good and Kind hearted people still in this world. Thank you so much!
Good Man! Thanks for sharing, it makes the world a happier place to share talents, techniques, and recipes. It is nice to change things up a bit and let the men take over the kitchen. Have a great day.
I was raised on bacon grease gravy, we didn’t always have sausage but my mom always saved bacon grease as I still do today. My 3 grown daughters used to make fun of the multiple bacon grease jars in the fridge but they all have one now. Nothing better than biscuits, fresh slice tomato & gravy. Love watching Mr. Brown cooking. God bless you both❤️
Your flower 🛏 looked lonely covered in snow and not flowers but know this good soaking from the snow will be wonderful for the soil this spring and summer. Can’t wait to start seeing everything come to life again this spring. Winter has its own beauty though.
Oh my! What a wonderful breakfast! Ms Lori, you've got a keeper right there! I need to borrow him to plow my driveway! I'm a popsicle! If I sneeze my nose will crack off from being so cold! C'mon Spring! Hope you guys are enjoying the snow. Thanks for sharing your beautiful homestead with all of us!! God bless ya!!!
What great memories you brought back for me!! My mother and grandmother were from Arkansas. I loved their sausage gravy!!! They are both with the Lord now, so this was special as well as looking delicious!!
I love the two of you so much. Y'all make me laugh all the time. You are the sweetest couple. Please don't ever stop making videos. I'm a little bit selfish because you bring me comfort and peace so I have to watch every day.
Sure looks delicious , this was one of my husbands favorite dishes . I always added a little onion that was sautéed for a bit adds just a little sweet flavor . Was nice to see Mr Brown doing the cooking ! God Bless you and have a good day .
I never looked back after watching the BBQ Pit Boys. All they had to do was mention putting bacon and onions in along with the sausage. Takes biscuits and gravy to a whole new level.
Oh Miss Lori your place is a beautiful sanctuary. It is such a blessed thing to live there with Mr. Brown and share everything about life with your partner. Thank you for bringing us along. Sending Love and prayers from Texas 🤠❤️🙏
Sausage gravy and biscuits will always remind me of my granny! Fortunately she taught me how to make them and I make them every year on her birthday. I sure do miss my granny. Thanks Laurie for always sharing such delicious recipes
Lovely to watch Mr Brown looking so comfortable in the kitchen. I love my husband to cook for me. He makes a good spaghetti Bolognese. Love to u both from the UK
Don't always need homemade biscuits to make GREAT sausage and gravy biscuits. Those looked BEAUTIFUL! And I know Miss Lori WAS so thrilled that you did that for her! It's always wonderful to be given a bit of a break in the kitchen, even when you love doing it. Again, it's marvelous to see that you're back up and about, and doing better. God is SO good! You guys take care. God bless you.

Wonderful video today. You're a sweet husband, Mr. Brown. Enjoyed seeing your homestead. I hope the ducks still got their feet! Love you two and I'm always keeping you guys right in my prayers.
Yum! Now I know what's going to develop come morning here with my package of sausage and my hot iron pan! Mr. Brown you're the best! Thanks for taking the time to show us the way xo Stay Warm you two!
Love this video... Mr. Brown making Ms. Lori "brunch". One simple set of instructions that my sister gave me that has stuck with me all my gravy making life... "for every one cup of liquid use two tablespoons of fat and two tablespoons of flour". Never fails. Making it thicker or thinner depends on how heavy or light handed you are with your liquid. But strictly speaking for all intents and purposes... those amounts of fat and flour per one cup of liquid always makes a great gravy consistency. Also, the amount of time that you cook that fat and flour before you add your liquid equal color and flavor too. Well done Mr. Brown. And another thing I learned along the way is that anything that you "thicken" will not come to it's full thickness until it starts to simmer... if after you first add the liquid and think it's too thin... give it a minute... it will thicken as it gets hotter.
😋Yummy sausage gravy & biscuits😋 Mr. Brown! Thank you for sharing this & your property. It is so breathtakingly ❄ beautiful there! God Bless You Both! 💖Love & 🙏Prayers, Pat W.🌴
@Whippoorwill Holler Mr. Brown I just made this for lunch. I never had it before but I followed your video and it turned out wonderful. I think this milk gravy would go good with a lot of things. I think my Mom made something like this for us as children when we were sick with tummy aches, serving it over toast. Like you, she made it with love. Thanks so much. Blessings to you and Miss Lori. 🥰💕❤️
That looked delicious Mr. Brown. Thankful it looks like you have made a good recovery from your recent illness. The Homestead looked so pretty with the snow. We have had some bad weather here in Texarkana, but it could have been worse. We never lost power and so far no frozen pipes. We are thankful for that, and remember the people in Texas that are still suffering and having a hard time. Our prayers are with them. Thank you for another good video. It was uplifting as usual. I think your and Mr. Brown’s voice is just comforting. 💕
I love your videos, that’s exactly how I used to make gravy for my husband and I really miss doing that for him since he passed away, love you both, God bless!
