We love Mr D too! My daughter did Algebra last year (with Mrs C) and is working through Geometry now (with Mr D). I especially love how responsive Mr D is to email questions. His heart for homeschoolers is clear and he is always eager to explain the philosophy behind his methods. We are also looking forward to the study skills class.
That kinda reminds me of digitial training at like an employer or like an online class in college ! We used to do that like like training where you can chat and stuff. It’s great ! Math is such a hard subject to teach yourself at the higher levels so that’s a great option!!! I love that they record the class too so if you need to skip or even go back after and watch it again if you get stuck on something, you can review it! Wondering what you use for Science for your 8th grader? Do you use TGTB unit studies for her? I was under impression they were for younger kids. Thank you for the info. you share! I am going to look into Mr. D math for my 6th grader next year.
YES! I am going to have all my kids do it when they reach Pre Algebra. as far as cost, I was looking into hiring a private tutor to come into my home and that would have been hundreds of dollars a month, so in comparison, this was such a wonderful option WITH the private tutor attention :)
that is awesome you have that option in your area! the total school year for Mr D live costs $487, so not that much different than your tutors pricing. we were going to hire a private tutor, which would have been hundreds of dollars a month in our area, so this has been an answer to prayer :)
