Having kim jung tae as a father is the most blissful and happiest things. He knows how to cook lots of food and even help his wife by reducing her work at home!

I think Kim Iljung is hilarious. This program wouldn't be as fun without him. I don't understand all the criticisms towards him. He's pretty much like the majority of men (and women) out there. Not a lot of people can be this meticulous when it comes to housework. At least he's making an effort.

I think the problem is that he represents how a lot of Korean husbands (as demonstrated by Kim Seyoon's friend and even stated by Kim Iljung) are like in which they do not engage in most of the housework because it is "women's work". We shouldn't settle on the fact that "most men" are like that because that's wrong when women are expected to be masters at housework. That's the point of the show is to show that helping around the house can benefit the house, your wife, your children, as well as promote housework as genderless. (Everyone needs to learn how to clean do laundry and clean around the house at least...not everyone can cook.) I'm sure the people criticizing him don't expect him to be able to do all chores meticulously but on this show he shows utter incompetence in all housework. Plus he shows a sloppy attitude towards doing housework (not allowing dishes to dry before storing them away, letting Kim Jungtae do all the prep and cooking). I think what people want is an eagerness to learn and to execute something in full properly with an adequate amount of care, especially since he's on a show about housework. For example, Kim Seungwoo is incompetent but has an eagerness to learn and find ways to assist his wife and children with housework. I'm sure what people want is to see an episode where he puts 100% of himself into a chore (like when he tried cooking for his wife...even though it was a disaster he really tried somewhat). No one expects perfection, just effort. I don't hate him. I really do want him to stay to show that everyone of every skill level can learn to do certain chores. It's a skill not a talent. I just want him to show evidence of effort and improvement over the course of this show because those "started from the bottom" stories are always good and satisfying.

Yes, more women need to have an attitude like this so the men can and will learn in a household. Just because the man is handsome or is a working parent doesn't mean they should sit back and never help out with house labor. The "men will be men" excuse is archaic and should be put to rest.

***** For sure, nowadays all around the world, women are entering the same workforce and positions that men do so they have just the same amount of work as men outside of the home, but are still expected to do all the housework to the level a housewife does. It's ridiculous. It'd be better if both parents do equal amount of housework in a two income family. There is nothing wrong with housewives because that is a tough job because it's all manual labor (picking up children, caring for children, carrying laundry, standing around and cleaning all the time, etc.). In one income families, the one who is at home does more work, but the working parent also needs to understand that the house parent does a lot of work and needs some assistance here and there and to let house parent get a break. Obviously this varies depending on job (like if working parent does construction or heavy lifting vs. office job where they sit a lot), on what type of jobs at home they do. It's just...we should encourage helping one another and that housework should be shared in some way to make life easier. Faster the chores are done, the faster you can take a break and go have fun with the family.

Ah and let's not forget, that housework can be fun, soothing, relaxing and fulfilling as well, specially when you cooperate and work together, but I still agree that Il-joong makes the show better. He's the added nuance to the show, Taegyu, Seyoon and Jungtae are really good at their work, and Seungwoo is such a warm person, just those 5 make a really great dynamic, the guests are also funny and make things interesting to watch, 10/10 show.

Absolutely, this lady acted like a princess. She didn’t even wanna try knitting and the seasoned crab where that’s the whole point of having hosts on the show! She is super pretentious too and never said anything funny. She is the only let down on this show...

Absolutely, love this show. As far as lijung is concern have no malice towards him he's cute and funny at times don't mind him being on the show. What he said, "for show" in one episode is what was very disappointing sparked the harsh criticism. I for one don't want anyone to leave. Iijung just needs to get it together and do it from the heart it makes a world of difference when your being sincere.

I don't like the criticism towards Iljung. Like he said, he knew that he would get criticism because he was inexperienced and yet he still participated and is learning and putting some effort into it unlike all the men I've known throughout my life. This is literally the 7th episode not the 100th episode so he's just starting to learn.

I’m disappointed in this episode because of the colorism “jokes” and that offensive stereotype of Chinese eating habits. I hope the cast and crew of the show understand they have an international audience, and thus they should be more sensitive of how they talk about people. I hope they will take more care in the future as I love this show and the cast.

Iljung - I give him props for trying very little at least, but it doesn't make me like him. He is such a lazy guy, that was given a golden spoon to him since birth and marriage. I really really hate people like him. He acts like he knows it all and he doesn't try enough. He should know that there are people out there who has to work hard and do those things as a living. - I will not give him any slack at all. You people can give him slack and say that he is trying, but all I see is him being lazy and not trying enough. He couldn't even wash a crab by himself as well as cut one with confidence. If he stays on this show, I want to see him actually push himself. If he doesn't then he can leave.

SexyL Kpop Variety shows needs different kinds of people. If they cast the member that is good and knows how to deal with housework, it would lose the meaning and purpose for this shows. They need person/ people like Iljung who don't know or may not good with housework in this program. Through this program, they might understand and knows how to do housework better or try to help out their wives offscreen next time

He is trying. Stop be judgemental. He do feel bad that he is the only one who sit back doing nothing meanwhile others are doing so much thing. Everyone always speak as if they know everything but then when they try themself is really different thing. Cleaning crab isn't easy thing especially when a person isn't used to clean it or often have it at home. You are just like him talking as if you're good but in reality are you that good ? Every people has lack in certain area. Who are you to say he can stay or not. Are you their director? Or is the show going to cancel off just because you don't like that guy? Why can't just enjoy the movie naturally without expect everyone to be perfect. I'm sure outside there have more men who are worst than him especially the man who don't even clean anything at all yet scolding their wife for doing wrong or not following their instruction. Worst a man who don't even want try to help out. A Lot of celebrities got so depress and stress and even commit suicide is because of netizen like you who expect them to perfect and condemn as if there is no longer sun coming out tomorrow and as if people like you are giving them permission to breath the oxygen if they do perfectly. Seriously?

He is the worst at it, he has never really done it before and he isn't humble at all, but without him the show wouldn't be good at all. It makes for a really good character dynamic in the cast, and for a really good laugh, of course he is lazy, he hasn't done it, he doesn't understand it, he doesn't know which questions to ask to make sure he understands the tasks, it's not easy to try to learn to do all of this, I've worked as a cleaner for 2.5 years and even though I'm a genius level at learning new stuff, if I didn't have someone show me how to do it in the first place, I wouldn't have this job, honestly, which would've been a shame, because I frankly love cleaning. People are different, Il-joong has a bratty personality, but I don't believe that he is mean or uncaring, I believe from the bottom of my heart that he loves his wife very much and that he loves his children very much, it's just that he works a lot and have next to no experience in childrearing or housekeeping. And I don't think he is spoiled in any way, I think that he never had the chance to learn the importance of helping out as a child. Not all of us are born equal, I for one, could be considered spoiled by some, and earnest and hardworking by others, a germophobe by some and a unhygienic swine by others, we aren't perfect beings, we all have our flaws, that Kim Il-joong wasn't taught humbleness and how to care for himself isn't his fault.

It's not just Korean culture. In the coastal areas of America it's done that way too. There are a multitude of ways to kill crustations. These crabs are kept cold (hence their slow, minimal movement) to slow their metabolism. In this stage their neurons are slowed and thus don't feel a lot of pain. It's very humane and they die within seconds.
