Don't call that engagement. It is marriage. It is the traditional marriage. As a Christian, you should take it to church too for blessing but it doesn't necessarily mean that the couple should wear wedding gown and suit (white wedding). They can do the church blessing wearing their traditional clothes. Church blessing of marriage isn't "white wedding". Not all "white weddings" are done in church.

If you are a Christian and your church requires you to bring your marriage before the Altar of God, like my church requires then yes you have to do that. But you can do so with few family members and friends wearing any clothes for that blessing. Church wedding isn’t white wedding. I just want people to understand that. You can have a church wedding which isn’t a white wedding. And our traditional marriage shouldn’t be called an engagement again. It isn’t an engagement. It is marriage. In fact, it is traditional wedding. The one we call “knocking” , in Twi “yɛretu ne tiri nsa” is the engagement.
One thing I don't like about Christians is you will do them a favour and they will give the credit to God, mine question is ⁉️ all these years you were going through that where was God and why where you not praising God for what you were going through 😮😮. Service for mankind service to God no other God from anywhere do that peace ✌️
shallow minded,God use people to bless others,it doesn't mean that God came down to pave way.But the problem most of us have is we don't mention our helpers name in most cases
