I mean on top of the already afformentioned crimes(Attempted murder, attempted disposal of incriminating evidence, bribing an officer, desecrating and robbing a grave.) we also have: -Breaking and Entering(Midlife Crustacian, Penny foolish, Growth Spurts) -Animal cruelty/endangerment(Jellyfish Hunters, the Cent of Money) -MULTIPLE Health and Safety/Public endangerment violations(Krabby Land, Grease buffoons, the Krusty sponge, Wreck of the Mana Loa) -Endangering the health safety and wellbeing of his employees(Fear of a Krabby Patty, Squid Baby, No hat for Pat) -Sabotaging competition(Plankton's Regular) -Driving someone to taking their own life(One Coarse Meal) -Spreading liebel(The Krabby Chronicle) And those are the examples that immediately come to mind!
@@gregzotter6189 Maybe Soongebob doesn’t have anywhere else to go. Krusty Krab is the only job he had and he loved it. Like Green Goblin having no where else to go in No Way Home
Right. You're talking about when Mrs. Puff gave Spongebob his license when she wasn't supposed to, right? I remember her saying that she had done that in the past and had to move to another town and change her name. I'm pretty sure she did it to get the cops off her tail since I'm pretty sure giving people a license when they are not fit for driving is illegal.
@@oHaiZeta Which I haven't seen. The second episode they ever interacted (the one were Mrs.Puff had to work at the Krusty Krab to pay off damages), Mr.Krabs acted like he was never interested in her to begin with.
nasty patty is probably one of my favorite spongebob episodes just for how good of a demonstration of what an "idiot plot" is. its literally ALL caused by mr krabs and spongebob rushing to conclusions and making moronic decisions, but its funny and in character. it's like how most of shakespeare's stories have everything go wrong because of lack of communication and poor decision-making. having an "idiot plot" is good as long as its in character and entertaining.
I think "idiot plots" work so well with cartoons. Nasty Patty is definitely in my top 5 favorite episodes and one of my most rewatched. I'm not even sure why, it just gets me every time. Same with Arrgh!, Rock Bottom, Nature Pants, and Idiot Box. It's actually really hard to pick a top 5, but I know Nasty Patty is right there. I do tend to love Mr. Krabs centered episodes, though.
Another "idiot plot" episode is the robot one. SpongeBob watching a robot movie and fearing a robot uprising isn't surprising but the best part is when Squidward gets roped in. "Squidward! The robots have taken over the Navy!" "NOT THE NAVY!!!"
It is not exactly "idiot plot" as that depends on characters being stupid. As in way stupider than they normally would be. Hasty conclusions and tragedy that ensues are way different plot structure.
@@amphibeingmcshpongletron5026 Ripped Pants, Nasty Patty, Graveyard Shift, Nature Pants, and Band Geeks are my top favorite episodes. Actually, I think The Smoking Peanut is also up there because Patrick ends up becoming a detective in the episode.
Mr. Krabs selling SpongeBob to the Flying Dutchman for 62 cents insane. But digging up a dead body just to steal a hat is crossing the line. Mr. Krabs has a double life we don’t know about.
I think the most heinous thing Mr. Krabs has done was in One Course Meal, where he learns that Plankton is scared of whales, and proceeds to dress up as Pearl to scare Plankton throughout the entire episode, which eventually leads into Plankton trying to get himself run over.
I literally despise that one course meal episode. It's unbearable to watch. Mr. Krabs is at his worse and SpongeBob was no help at all. Plus Plankton being afraid of whales doesn't make much sense since he's been around pearl before.
I swear a while there was some sort of alternative ending made as a joke by the animatiors that came out at the same time... But in all seriousness what where the script writers THINKING when they wrote that and how was it approved?
I like to mention that Mr. Krabs poisons a lot of customers by either putting grease on them or spongy patties, just make a quick buck, he also captures Gary and forces him to be his pet to get money off of him. That’s animal abuse right there.
He's also stalked and harassed Plankton in 'One Course Meal', Had a broken down playground set up in 'Krabby Land' which could have caused someone serious injury, broken into the Chum Bucket in 'Plankton's Fan' and fed people grease in 'Greasy Buffoons' along with a bunch of other stuff.
Spongebob season 1-3 is by far the best kids animated series in all of human history it might be top 3 in animated comedies; top 10 animations PERIOD. Not even close
i will say this about the nasty patty, while the patty isnt what actually killed the inspector, the intention to do so was present so they would get charged with something like an attempt at murder rather than the full on charge as well as attempt to dispose of evidence
@flashstudiosguy I’m pretty sure the fact that he tampered with the inspectors food intending to harm him at all would get him charged with attempted assault at best and attempted murder at worst
@@Mad_scientist_huburis Is there a law for feeding someone rancid/un-edible food? IK the Krusty Krab would be shut down but what would they get charged with if he ate the Nasty patty?
@@TheChosenMoose01 I think so, given so many restaurants have to throw away the food that doesn't sell that day at the risk of if someone ate it they might get sick and might sue them :( (or if not sue, pay a fine because of the rule?)
Man, you have to admit the scene when Mr. Krabs scares SpongeBob with a floating shopping list is pretty funny! Plus, these 2 episodes are still good even today!
One thing about the #1 Hat episode I never understood is why Mr. Krabs didnt just explain to Spongebob why he wanted the hat back. Mr. Krabs is like the only character that consistently understands how the guy works in both his stupid and his generous ways, I'm sure he of all people would know Spongebob would be more than happy to give up the hat for whatever made Mr. Krabs happy.
I've a feeling if you, as the cartoon guy, start posting true crime videos on the same channel, they'll get age restricted and suppressed to hell. It'd probably be safer overall to make an offshoot channel.
It's honestly so dark, which I think makes it funnier, SpongeBob thought he killed someone, and put what he perceived to be a corpse on his head to hide the body.
I think we can all agree that Mr. Krabs is no doubt a bad dude, but he did have some moments where he was ok. There are moments where he was a father figure in Spongebobs eyes, despite his cheapness and selfish actions which amazes me that Spongebob still loves Mr. Krabs and still works for him. Even in the episode Pickles & Spongebob You're Fired and What Ever Happened to SpongeBob?, for example, Mr. Krabs realizes that Spongebob is the main reason to how his restaurant is still standing. Without him, everything would fall apart.
Mr.krabs is meant to represent corporate greed while squidward represents the adult min wage worker stuck in his own lazy cycles, being forced to work with people much younger then him. SpongeBob is the high school kid working at his job still being naive about how life really is. It’s all metaphors pretty much everything in SpongeBob has a deeper meaning. It’s what makes it a master piece
Despite all of these obvious crimes, watching SpongeBob as an adult made me realize how Krabs exploited SpongeBob's childish nature and enthusiasm for his own personal gain. He was genuinely manipulative and downright abusive towards an innocent person, just for monetary gain
@Fred_Fredburger500that doesn’t even amount to all the cruel vile shit Mr Krabs did throughout the show💀he sold SpongeBobs soul for 62 cents for crying out loud
I've always thought he was just trying to justify the price by naming a random queen, but "Swiss umbrella" is a brilliant joke, thanks for pointing this out 😂
Another fantastic episode~ Yeah. Mr. Krabs has never been seen as anything but antagonistic. And yeeeeeah the first shown here comes immediately to mind. He literally would do anything for the right price. Also- I think if you want to do a true crimes kind of thing, you’d best do so setting up on a different channel. It would be jarring to have two very different types of videos on the same channel- at least what I’m thinking. Idk- maybe a snippet as to what to expect would help the decision.
Considering Squidward is sometimes the voice of reason he’d be hard on Mr Krabbs over killing the health inspector. He’d probably even call the police on him.
What about that one time he tried to resell a Krabby Patty that's been under the grill for 3 years in "Born Again Krabs"? Or that time he found some rotten yellow Krabby Patties in the back of the freezer and sold them as "Spongy Patties" that ending up poising the customers in "The Krusty Sponge"? Speaking of which, the latter Episode is one of the few Episodes in the show where Mr. Krabs actually got caught red handed and arrested. Too bad he still got off scot free though.
For all the crimes that Mr. Krabs has committed, at best, he would likely be sentenced to prison for life with a chance of parole. At worst, the death penalty. But he’s most likely getting sentenced to death anyway
What i have always found most sus about Mr. Krabs is when Squidward asks him if he knows anything about exploding pies killing people in the episode "Dying for Pie" and Krabs says he's seen this happen "eleven times as a matter of fact". Then, when Squidward calls the hospital about the situation, they say this has happened "eleven times". WHAT ARE YOU HIDING EUGENE?!?!?!??!?!?!?
DuskTillShawn: "This is horrible...!! YOU'RE HORRIBLE!!!! You're an irredeemable MONSTER!!!" Mr. Krabs with a shotgun to his head: "Ohhh, ohh, what took ye so long, BOYO?!"
I remember when I used to like Mr. Krabs. He used to be funny and cool but he's gotten worse through the later seasons just being a completely monstrous and unreasonable tyrant of a boss that has me rooting for Plankton. The lesser of two evils.
I'm pretty sure everyone who grew up with sponge bob eventually had the realisation that plankton is less of a villain than krabs. With the exception if the movie (which isn't even cannon) plankton just wants a dumb recipe, and yes the way he tries to accomplish it, is usually not legal, it's very petty and mostly harmless. Krabs is an actual sociopath, with almost no regard for fish-kind, and commits crimes on a regular basis.
I really like how bubbles move around characters more often in earlier seasons. :) Also it bothers me that Schmitty's grave said "Schmitty Werben-man Jenson" instead of the one we know of
Not to mention he's apparently giving his employees less time off then he's allowed to legally, not to mention that time he put so much grease on his patties that he made his customers sick, or that time he feed his customers rotten Krabby patties that looked like SpongeBob and also got his customer sick.
A question I have always had was there no one else in the restaurant when the health inspector was choking it seems really weird and unlikely with how popular the krusty Krab is.
I actually feel bad for content creators these days, particularly RU-vidrs as such. You guys must have to spend so much time editing & tailoring videos in order to adhere to RU-vid’s ridiculous guidelines just so that RU-vid doesn’t snatch your video (which is usually a creative demonstration of a creator’s hard work). Shoutout to you.
I was about to. Wonder why Mr. Crab doesn't branch out since his crabby Patties are his prominent selling point, but then a little bit after that thought, Shawn said that the crabby Patty formula was secret, so that kind of answered it for me.
I think trying to poison the health inspector still counts as, at the very least, assault. If someone fires a gun at you and misses, did they not still try to harm you?
As an adult, I realized how much of a crook Krabs really was. He only cared about the money he was making from his restaurant chain and couldn't care less about who he hurts around him, including his own employees. I can see why Squidward hated working there.
I'd definitely watch you cover some true crime cases! Might be better on a second channel though, since like you said this is mainly an animation channel.
The cops probably knew Spongebob and Mr Krabs were trying to bury a body, they just didn't want to arrest them because then the krusty krab would be gone.
And Mr. crabs, gaslighted SpongeBob into thinking that it was his fault because he could’ve talked him out of it, but that’s not how that works because Mr. Krabs is his boss he’ll always have power over SpongeBob.
If you ever feel dumb, remember that Mr. Krabs sold his best worker SpongeBob to the Flying Dutchman basically the SpongeBob equivalent of the devil for $0.62
The funniest part is the Crusty crab is that it’s literally a crab trap. Meaning his greed is so great that he would risk death for the smallest amount of money.
i was a teen when SpongeBob premiered, a grew up shows like Ren & Stimpy and Beavis and Butthead so it's definitely my sense of humor. The episode with the health inspector is one of my favorites, in my opinion, it has one of the most clever plots on the show. and I always was sad that they never played it very much. I know it has a dark humor to it, but it reminds me a lot of the earlier grittier Nickelodeon shows and plots like you would see on an adult swim show. It's hilarious now as an adult I see the dark implications, that krabs has done this before. but I still can't help but laugh. It's one of my favorites.
Awesome video!!! Also I subbed :) Mr Krabs has done attempted murder 2 more times as well as the attempted murder of the health inspector, he tried to kill Squidward with a Mallet, and he attempted to kill Plankton by literally scaring him to drive him to suicide 😳
I would make a second channel for true crime I made that mistake really stunted my growth and lost the vibe of my channel until I returned to animation 😂
in defense of Mr. Krabs soda drinking hat He did only plan to ask SpongeBob for the hat, and then scare it off him, he never thought about outright stealing it And also you could argue it was self-defense in the cemetery, they had weapons while he was unarmed at first, and I mean they are already dead. Smitty's head was detached and he was still talking, so them falling apart does nothing, so Mr. Krabs only crime in that episode is grave robbing and maybe stealing trash
“Nasty Patty” is one of the darkest, but memorable episodes of SpongeBob SquarePants. “One Krabs Trash” is one of the memorable episodes of SpongeBob SquarePants.
I actually think that rather than Mr Krabs assuming their health inspector was an imposter, he realized that the health inspector was getting all of that food they gave him for free, got incredibly mad he wasnt going to make any money, and ropped Spongebob into a plot to punish the guy for trying to eat his food without paying. I mean look how angry he gets when he says "Free Food?!" I dont think Krabs telling Spongebob that their guy was the imposter was a mistake, i believe it was intentional to coax Spongebob into his plan.
Mr. Krabs was always my favorite character because of his backstory, it made him feel like a fully realized person with a proper perspective of life and his own set of virtues and flaws.
The guy actually was a fake health inspector. I saw a video that talked about it. First, just because one fake health inspector was caught doesn't mean that there can't be more than one fake health inspector. Second, as a health inspector it's your job to see if a restaurant is safe to eat at. Health inspectors see some of the nastiest stuff possible rats, spoiled food, etc. The last thing a legit health inspector would do is walk in and immediately order one of everything on the menu. That doesn't tell you if the restaurant is clean or not and has the potential of you eating nasty disgusting unsafe food. Third, just look at the pathetic piece of paper he gives Mr. Krabs that he's trying to pass off as a legitimate safety certificate. And finally, it explains why he didn't try to press charges for the crimes committed against him. He was also breaking the law in fact, posing as a health inspector is a felony.
My mom's a lawyer-personally, I think this is how the laws would shake out in the Nasty Patty episode: In the events as they happened: -Criminal conspiracy: Spongebob and Mr. Krabs working together to commit several crimes. Also, if it's found that the Nasty Patty truly was deadly, they could have that attempted murder added to the conspiracy charge regardless of whether they succeeded. -Attempted poisoning: Attempting to feed the health inspector the Nasty Patty. -Concealing evidence: Attempting to hide the "body" -Digging without a permit/trespassing: Digging the shallow grave for the "body" -Attempting to bribe an officer: Mr. Krabs trying to give the cops his money. -Possibly battery/criminal negligence: From repeatedly bonking the "body" on the head. Only possibly tho, as they may not be charged since they didn't know the health inspector was alive. If they HAD killed the health inspector with the Nasty Patty, most of the crimes would stay the same-however, they'd also receive the crime of either Criminal Negligence (for thinking the patty would be a harmless prank when it was in fact deadly), Manslaughter (for killing someone without intending to do so), Third-Degree Murder (similar to manslaughter, often depends on jurisdiction), or possibly some combination of those. Now, Spongebob could potentially get off the hook for all of this-if the jury determines that Spongebob was only acting under threat of being fired, and thus Mr. Krabs forced him to perform all of these crimes, then Mr. Krabs could be left with all of the blame here.
