The 458 is more special than the 488. The 488 was basically just a smaller engine with twin turbos made to replace the aging 458. But the 458 is more of a “car-guys” car, due to that mid-2000s v8 roar. 488 is quicker, but sounds like an aggressive vacuum cleaner and is a dime-a-dozen.
