I literally got a friend into the show by showing them the sitcom part of the episode without any context telling him the series was a mindfuck from beginning to end. He watched the whole series, and loved it.
Even with context, the show is still a hell of a mindfuck. One of my all-time faves. Also some other clips that would've been hilarious out of context: Qwerty's "MOVE HIM TO A GODDAMN WINDOW' and Irving's "WHEEL! OF! FORTUNE!"
@@roachdoggjr419 It's mostly a straight forward crime drama (and a really really good one at that). The main protagonist lets just say is not the most mentally well person on the planet and his mental illness plays a very crucial part in the plot. It's well worth watching I dont want to spoil too much.
4:52 🤣 If you really pay attention that actually happens quite a bit throughout the show. When it seems like he's talking to himself, people will turn and react like they heard him or sometimes even respond because they did hear him, indicating that when it seems like he's thinking to himself, he's actually talking out loud.
EDIT: 4:52 🤣 If you really pay attention that actually happens quite a bit throughout the show. When it seems like he's talking to himself, people sometimes react like they heard him and will even respond directly to what he was thinking, as though they could hear his thoughts. It's an Indication that rather than, the fact that some people know what he's thinking, it's actually because he's litterly talking out loud, doesn't realize it, and just happened to notice them noticing him doing it that time. note: It probably only gets emphasize with potentially nefarious people he's more suspicious, BECAUSE of the fact that he sees them as more suspicious. Since he sees them that way, he's more likely to be aware of the finer details of their responses. It all goes back to (for the most part) the fact that he's delusional, and we're seeing everything from his perspective. I think it was meant to be a hint for anybody who caught it, that not only are things aren't quite what they seem to be, but they aren't the way they seem to be in a way they seem to be in the the contacts of the way they're explained by Elliot.
@@SquashyNO.1 you could also tell who mr.robot was faaaaar before it was revealed, you from the first scene with him could tell he was imaginary, but later on it even heavily hints he is his father (before it is revealed obviously)
Hello, friend. Hello, friend? That's lame. Maybe I should give you a name, but that's a slippery slope. You're only in my head. We have to remember that.
@@pegasusactua2985 I really like that the director knew the story he wanted to tell and ended it. Too many shows forget the story in the desire to keep going nowhere
@L. A. EXACLTY! and the way some episodes are filmed differently bringing so much more creativity into the way the story is being told... sam esmail is awesome as is the whole team
Best one is when he stop taking drugs and smiling it just makes me smile immediately all the love to Eliot (Rammy) and whole team and actors they did the best show ever 😻😻😻❤️💚
made me love the adderall prision segment again a bit sad that "the ball goes into a hoop... of course!" from the adderall segment wasn't in this unironcially favorite line from the show
Now that I watched the show I need someone to make a Mr. Robot version of the Horny cyberpunk Keanu meme, but this is close to that.. Also don't forget "the appropriate term is hanging brain" "that was your big plan? To dox me?" "Scan my qr code and I'll suck your dick" "she's trolling me" "don't mistake my generosity, for generosity" or really any time that guy in the hazmat suit eating a sandwich pops up (to name a few more good ones)
I never watch it because I thought it was just about deep state conspiracy theories and fighting the government or a tech company or something... damn they should have put this stuff in the ads
Never see this show. Is worth a watch? There are so many shows out there i never know which to start and don’t have a lot of time on my hands so lookin for something that would be worth it
