You can tell steele is a good dude by how he talked more about how they run and all the tech he knows about the magnets and motors and everything rather than even saying a price or where to get them etc.. he just wants you to know he decided to make something worth buying that is built great and built for us to last us . He's really down to earth that's what I like

Haven't went full 6s yet.. making baby steps.. on 5s for now then will go to 6s, However can you clarify for the record, was your S3 prop designed for the 6s setup or the 4s setup, and should I get the full benefits using them on 4s and 5s ? I feel like its designed specifically for the 6s setup with the 1700KV Stout motors.. ?

I built a 5 inch TBS Source One Quad with this motors, weight is around 800 grams with a GoPro mounted. The quad feels a little bit unsnappy and does not have much torque, it feels like the motors are overwhelmed with that quad. Max current draw was around 70A. I'm flying with 5040 props. Using 5048 props feels a little bit better, but not as much I expected from this motors :-( Any idea?

I killed these on 6s 5" Steele Setup with 5146 Props. With the ethix 5031 watermelon Props, no problems... but with the 5161 the motors getting so hot, that they burned... so i would not try 6" probs with these. Better are the Ethix Moonboots. They run with 6" HQ 6x4x3 with 1739kv good and the temperatur is nearly 35-45°C after 4 minuets Freestyling on outside temperature of 30°C. So that's okay.

I do however have a legit question for you. I did have one silk v2 motor that had a bell that was stuck on the stator, out of the box. This is not a normal thing is it? How can I take it off if I want to? The motor works completely fine as far as I can tell but if I unscrew the shaft screw I can pretty much still fly that thing is completely stuck on there... I don't want to try a hammer cuz I dont want to break it lol.

I’ve had that happen on a prototype. Send a ticket into TBS and they will most likely replace the motor. Sorry for the inconvenience

@@griffusfpv6476 hey man , you can also just use your soldering iron and heat up the bottom of the shaft (with the screw out) be generous with the heat, but then it pops right off, its loctite used on the screw threads that makes it's way into the bottom race of the bearings, I've had it happen many times. Also I dont use and loctite on my builds at all and haven't had a Issue as of yet... just a heads up. Keep Rippin bro ! ✌😎
