My family went in March 2006 and it was COLD. We rode Mr. Toad's just to go to Hell to warm up a bit

so mr toad gets in trouble, gets sentenced, dies and goes to hell? Children must love this lol

My favorite. I loved the irony in going to hell at the Happiest Place on Earth. I love this ride.

What exactly is happening? Mr. Toad steals a car, gets drunk, goes on a joyride through the city, is arrested for DUI, goes to trial, is executed and goes to hell?

I still remember going on this ride when I was 5 and being completely freaked out. I thought I imagined the ending, but apparently not!

In 1959 when I was 6, I loved Mr. Toad's Wild Ride. I recall it being exciting, thrilling and a tad humorous as well. It made my top 5 list. Lol...I was a Catholic kid so not much scared me other than the nuns!

Probably the best non-thrill ride at Disneyland

After going on splash mountain we’d always ask each other “wanna go to hell?” And this is the ride we go on to warm up.

I remember when I rode WDW's version when I was a little kid and I loved it. I was so sad when it shut down and Pooh took its place (which in my opinion is inferior to Toad). Years later when I cam to Disneyland for the first time, this was the first ride I went on. I was so happy to relive the memories and nostalgia.

This was my favorite ride at Disneyland as a kid. No wonder I grew up so messed up 😆

I was a ride operator for this attraction from 1995-1998. It was fun!

Mr. Toad is so wonderfully strange. The hell sequence, when the room is instantly 30 degrees warmer, is so campy and wonderful.

Did anyone else feel like that ending came out of nowhere? Not only does it not fit in with the ride at all, but it doesn't fit in with the themes of the original short of The Wind In The WIllows at all. Since when did Mr Toad, or anyone end up going to Hell?

I loved this ride as a kid and still do. My favorite thing: that last room - hell - is kept very warm!

I only rode this ride once and it was 6 1/2 years ago. I was scared that the Headless Horseman would show up. When you see the big face with glowing eyes, I thought the mouth was trees and I thought I was in the woods of Sleepy Hollow. But I don't remember seeing the demons and the dragon. I just thought "That's it? I guess they didn't want to make the ride scary by putting in the Headless Horseman." I guess I was too scared to see the Headless Horseman that I didn't notice that I was in Hell. Why would Disney put this in if it's not from the movie? Why would Disney himself and the Imagineers think "Let's just throw Hell in there. You know, for kids!" You would think somebody else would step in and say "Wait, what?!"

I personally enjoy the line to get on this ride. Toad Hall has lots of toad-themed stuff on the shelf and decorations. It is quite charming.

I love this ride on a cold day. Hell feels great! I'd love to see a calculation of how many times Mr Toad has gone to Hell since the ride opened.

The ride has ALWAYS had that Hell-ish ending. I experienced it first back in the early 60s - and I remember the cop(per) with the nightstick and the mini-devils with their wings fluttering. My take on it is that going underground was the only way to avoid the oncoming locomotive. Weird - but I LOVED it since the Hell setting was so vibrantly red and pink (shades of the Alice in Wonderland ride).

I remember going on this as a kid then going threw the hell scene and wondering "What the f*ck just happened?"

I see there no longer is the devil shown with the word "Welcome!" as he enters hell. I remember that in the 1950's.

As a Kid there are some frightening moments in Mr Toads. I remember being a bit frightened when I was younger.

Best Disney Ride ever!!!

I went on this only a few days ago, and I found that at the end, it gets surprisingly very VERY grim and dark. It goes from a jovial rather fun setting suddenly, you're burning in HELL! That's a nosedive from family fun to really creepy stuff!

I wish mr toad’s wild ride got more attention, i personally think it’s the best out of all the fantasyland dark rides

When I first went on this ride, the thought of Mr. Toad being killed by a train and ended up going to hell went over my head and I was surprised that kids got scared of that part alone. I mostly found the very chaotic nature of this ride to be the "scary part."

Thank you to whoever filmed this. It was a part of my childhood in Anaheim and now its gone.

I could see how it's intense for little ones, but my first time going to Disneyland was as a young teenager. I just remember it being so absurd and somewhat inappropriate for children. Love it.

This was my favorite ride, you got to pick from two different rides to go on when you got to the front, why did they retire it, its now winnie the pooh at disneyworld and that line is never long while this one you may be waiting half hour or more.

Murdock actually referenced this ride in "The A-Team" episode "Bullets and Bikinis", after he pretended to be a train in a tunnel to trick a guy that the team had tied to the railroad tracks to sign a paper, saying he always wanted to try it ever since he rode on this.

Amazing...this is far more elaborate than WDW's now-retired version.

Mr. Toad's Wild Ride should have a Halloween overlay called Sleepy Hollow Adventure where you are in A Moter Car and you have to get away from the headless horseman.

Three things I remember about riding this at Walt Disney World in 1993: 1. Derailing that train 2. Winding up in hell for some reason 3. My dad forgot his camera on the seat as we left and didn't realize until we were out of the park, so we lost all the photos we'd taken 😕
