Which show is this? I doubt it’s on my patch, which is Broxbourne and Hoddesdon in Hertfordshire!! Our next show is on Wednesday 14 August from 10-15:00 with an hour to pack up our cars.
Searching for novelty wagons and then they go home with a giraffe…🤣 I've to admit the giraffe wagon was a super toy when we where kids, and it still hasn't lost it's charm and bring a smile to your face. It will go good with you Percy loco… These must have been professional vendors, leaving most novelty wagon at home…😂 But what an interesting and beautiful old stock, there are definitely some wagons that would be welcome in my collection. And the prices where, what I consider reasonable, specially if you compare it with the latest new stock reaching the £40 mark, here you have 4 to 5 lovely wagons for that price, even helping out charity organizations, love it Great video👍
Hi Danny, not bad prices but we have seen an increase in the last few years especially some of the Lima locos. The giraffe would suit Percy! All the best Rick
ah that Triang giraffe car was a neat thing ! had i been there I would have bought it ! with box and instructions. It goes under the pole with the tell-tale so the giraffe ducks. Lionel had cars painted for Bronx zoo among others. Triang trains are so collectible . great video !
Hi Pete, it was a bit chaotic filming dur to the numbers and the heat didn't help. Always happy to say hello though. Hope you had a good day. All the best Rick
WOW so much to look at Rick. 4 p now that is good price and a lot of other things too!!! I sure did see a lot there..... I think because of the $$$ that dose hold you back lol !!!!! BUT WHAT IS THIS LOL The Beatles :)!!!!!! And yes, I do have it :) you know I would :). I did enjoy your video have a great weekend cheer!!!!
We haven't got that one (repeats), we haven't got that (repeats), one we haven't got that one . . . . . . We have now! Put it back . . . . . giraffe!!!!
A Danny Special Wagon? I like that one. As I am not from the UK I was unfamiliar with this proverb. I will keep it in mind. With European model rolling stock we come across this often too. They are on offer from any supllier as we tend to love collectibles, we railway enthousiasts, don’t we? I like to keep my wish list at hand when on a bargain hunt myself. Thanks for sharing Pauline, and you Rick. Great stuff. Best regards from The Netherlands.
Hi, Danny specials refers to our friend Danny who is not a fan of novelty wagons. Danny specials are wagons that look realistic but are actually in fictitious liveries. Thanks for watching Rick
You weren't trying to steal Pauline's show was you Rick, but hey what a find, looks 100% tip top box lid looks bran new just the job. Great video All the best .
7:29 once bought over 200 of this type of wagon in N scale, boxed, all in one go. Seller wanted to get rid of it and I got myself a great addition. At somewhere between 15 and 20 pence each I'd call that a bargain. The Giraffe looks good, not something you find every day. Great video again and looked like there was a decent amount of stuff again to choose from.
Looked like a great day out, I only run a TMD layout only diesels but the other day i seen a 7 plank wagon marked SHIREBROOK COLLIERY nr Mansfield! Just had to buy it, I worked coal trains into Shirebrook in the 70s It doesn't fit in with the layout but what the heck, Stay safe you pair.
