Thank you both for being incredibly generous with your time and talents! I truly miss the both of you and wish you the absolute very best of everything, always!!!!
If your taste in women is as good as your taste in guitars, your wife is a classic beauty. Cheers to your beautiful family and thank you for a sweet and enjoyable video.
You two are so adorable!!. My fiance is in NY with her family and you made me miss her so much... Keep doing what you do and I hope you get better James. Greetings from Ecuador 🇪🇨
Thank you! I haver never commented before on your videos. However I just wanted to say you two are awesome! It's so cool to watch and hear two people who really enjoy being with each other, laughing at each other, picking at each other. It really made my Saturday. I really mean it. Thank you! Also Mr. James. Thank you for your great guitar work and details. Regards, Jimmy James
Another Privettricker Channel! This guy is a faceless guitar legend on youtube. He has hundreds of videos seamlessly cranking out songs just to show you how to do it right. Goes in an out, no talking and no ego, and whabang done. I actually noticed the James James channel today because I've watched soooooo many videos that I recognized this guys *hands* in a thumbnail on the side of a Breeders video I was watching, lol! Glad to see happy marriage on display in this video. Good content, good humans here. Really a lot of music fairy dust falls off these two. Sweet Gretsch, by the way ;)
James you are a blessed man! Your wife sounds lovely and a nurse! Wow! It’s great that she supports your guitar! I am praying for your speedy recovery! Thanks for all your guitar videos learn a lot from them!
I am way older than you James , you have helped me through many songs !! Can’t play with thumb like you, simply isn’t long enough. When will I get to see your face and your misses ? You guys are awesome.
I believe he cannot show his face because he is the Unknown Guitar Hero. He may be either Buckethead or TheDoo, just trying to live a normal life as our neighbor without getting mobbed by fans at the Piggly Wiggly.
James I just want to thank you for all the videos you have put out. Learning songs through you has helped me progress in guitar and also use my ear more like you.
I'm a huge fan of your husband, and very appreciative of his time and work that he puts into his videos. I had already told him earlier, that I would gladly give my two feet to have half the talent he has. I remember, in one of his older videos, him telling everybody that he used to tour quite a bit with various bands of his. You have a good catch in your husband. Supertalented, selfless and very giving of his talent and time to help other guitar players, with an amazing musical ear and talented playing. They have guitar players on You Tube, that don't half of your husbands talent, that are cocky. There is no reason for anybody, no matter how talented they are, to act like that, which is why your husband has many people that love his super talented playing and musical ear. I admire the hell out of your husband's playing, playing form, and musical ear. Are y'all from the South? Just curious, because I live in New Orleans, La, and we use the word Y'all alot. Just a contraction for You All, rather than you guys, or youse guys. Lol
Get to feeling better soon JJ ! I’m 52 and I have serious pain in my shoulders from the wear and tear being in the trucking business ! Of all the guitar guys I watch I have the most respect for you !
This was fun, thanks Mrs James James for being such a good sport! My wife (correctly) picked my J-45 as her favourite of my guitars - don't have nearly as many and certainly none as cool as yours - but I do have a wife that understands the madness ;) Hope your recovery is going well. Cheers.
Missing these two and James James in particular, and came back to this video. I'd accidentally left the playback speed on .5 after trying to decipher a tricky lick in another video. Makes for a whole different experience with this one 😆
@David Corbett - I also mention that LP to be among the "Bibles" for blues-rock lead guitarists, Beck's "Truth" is another. Learn all the licks from those LP's and you'd be "In Like Flint" What would be another LP that you would recommend?
Hi, Id just like to say, I love your channel. I've learned a considerable amount and improved my general playing. Keep rocking and hope your shoulder heals quickly.
I get in this relaxed and fuzzy/comfy kind of mode listening to you guys and watching the mid sections of "The King and Queen of my Small Screen" Don't know how you can resist holding those guitars, but its only temporary and you're doing the right thing for your arm. Take care!
You two remind me of my marriage- I'm happy and fortunate to say...😍 I think Mrs JJ is such a sweet soul and caregiver that she doesn't really need labels or names- she sees straight thru to the heart...
I traveled 8 hours the night before to attend the 1995 Plant & Page concert in México City,. That morning I was walking around in the city doing time and excited because that night I was going to see them in concert, when suddenly a limo parked just in front of me and from the back door gets out Jimmy Page. I just walked about 5 steps more to extend my hand and shake his hand. I told him "i traveled 8 hours last night to attend the concert tonite" we both talked for a while and walked into the Mercado de Artesanias. It was fantastic to me have been able to tell him how much I´ve enjoyed and admired his work.
Thank you for this. I love your videos! I saw Joy Division once and new order around 20 times and also PIL a fair few times too. But I’m in the UK. James - you have improved my guitar playing no end. Mrs James - thank you for putting up with him and indulging him.
That was grand. The way you play off each other is so much fun. Thanks again for everything you do. Take care of the arm. look forward to seeing you soon. M
Thank you James James Gang- just stumbled upon this one. Clapton - talented, as a mimic... like wow, that is awesome and spot on! Totally agree on James James' top 3 guitarists as well!
Yay!!! My favorite James James videos! Nice to "see" you again, Lovely Assistant! Streaming life at the JJ household, do it! Please, oh please... First concert: Beastie Boys opening for RUN DMC, June 15, 1987. First album I bought: Huey Lewis & the News, Sports.
You two are funny! Mrs. James James, I love the "Days of Our Lives" analogy! Mr. James James, here's to a quick recovery! Thanks for the cool lessons..........
Thanks I enjoyed the conversation. I especially liked the comment about the Jon Anderson acoustic show. I also enjoyed your acoustic Starship Trooper version from your Privettricker days. I still want to learn it I just can't figure out the tuning. I hope the should is feeling better and thanks again for the channel.
I saw Eric Clapton last night in Tampa, and the concert was awesome! The arena was sold out, and the enthusiasm was tremendous. His band is excellent, but it IS his playing that people come to see and hear. His tone and emotive phrasing are fantastic. If you are filling arenas at 76 years-old, you must be doing something right. He also played some new songs, and those sounded amazing as well. Cheers!
I was at that concert too! Fantastic concert---just shocked that he came and left so abruptly without him or any of the other band members introducing themselves or saying anything to the crowd haha.
Fun video! My best concert was Frampton at Winterland in San Francisco in 1975, my friends older brother drove us up there! We were 15 and he was 19, such a good time 😎
I saw Page and Plant on that 98 Tour in Denver. I was managing a blues club at the time, and had a guy named Lionel Young hosting our blues jam on Sunday nights. Lionel was and is a GREAT violin player. We show up to the concert, and lo and behold, Lionel is part of a 3 piece string ensemble backing up Page and Plant. Great show and one of my personal all time faves as well.
This is a great episode of J J - very entertaining, I’ve seen most of the ones you mentioned but yes I I agree the 1998 Page Plant tour I saw in Toronto on July 4th - so good
I’ve been watching your videos for quite some time. I think I remember in one video you said that you started out making videos for your brother. That’s what the trigger was for me. My little brother used to make me little cheater videos of songs that I was struggling to learn. I picked up on the WNY heritage a long time ago my brother. I’m from Fredonia and after living in NC for 25 year - moved back. I also have the exact same HOG shirt that you wear sometimes. Your an awesome dude with a good ear. Your gear is all top notch. Your wife is charming and sweet. I remember a video that she had to identify some of your favorite guitars. I recall she did well. Cheers to you and the lovely Mrs. JJ. Keep up the great videos. Heal up soon. And never let some of the internet trolls get you down man. There are always turds out there. Hehe.
That was a great video Mr & Mrs James James,Mrs James James made a valiant attempt at your quiz and gave some good answers considering she isn't a guitar playing rock enthusiast. I think you should have a second round to your quiz but Mrs James James should be the Quiz master asking you the questions on topics that interest her. That was fun guys, get well soon.
I really really loved your version of 'Concrete & Clay ' on the old channel. I just came across both your channels today. Sorry to hear about all the humbug on it. You are a fantastic guitarist. It was lovely to hear the both you chatting :)
Awww..Nurses are worth their weight in gold..I am married to one as well. Wish we had a dollar for every time a doctor asked my wife for advice(presumably because they were too busy partying in med school)..maybe I could afford that 6120! Speedy recovery and Townshend windmills from here on out, James!!!
Y'know; l love ur show just for the tutorials, and that would be enough, but the fact that you are; as am l, a few minutes from the HOG makes for an added attraction that catches my attention even more than your standard fare. Needless to say this one is, another, priceless VDO ....
11:25 Aaahhhh my ears are burning!! Sorry you 2 youngsters but by the time you heard Clapton he was set as a radio pop star. In the 60's and 70's he turned guitar on its ear as far as I'm concerned. He's a good singer, great song writer and great guitar player. Think of the first time you heard SRV and how different he was. Now he has 1000 clones and I can hardly listen to the original. But EC is still on my playlist. Cream, Beano, Blind Faith, EC, 461 Ocean Blvd, Derek & Dominos, on the White Album, etc etc etc.
Awesome JJ《☆》Brilliant on Mrs JJs part👍Ima say Terry Cath was my favorite short lived rock guitarist. I saw The Firm in 94 or 95. They didn't get to play very much as they were an opening act for GreenDay◇¿. I was schooling my gf/babymama on who Jimmy Page & Paul Rodgers were as she is 10 years younger & a Country music fan. Thankfully my Son didn't inherit the Country gene🌴◇:*:◇🌴Greetings from Florida😎🎱☮🔊🖖👍
The rule is clear! Whoever holds the guitar gets to say the infamous greeting !!! lol! Well done Lovely Assistant !!! Still laughing while replaying your greeting !!! Do you realize how positive impact you guys have ? Thanks foe this innocent little moment that made my day (I am still only 5 seconds in the video!!! I still got to watch the rest !!! lol! Cheers ! -dan
