The very first song composed by Jagger/Richard on the first Rolling Stones album. Let me join here the lyrics and guitar chords, try it guys , it's really fun to play this:
Voici la toute première compo des rolling stones, rétro de chez rétro ...
(D) I (D9) want you (A) back again (A9 - A) (D) I (D9) want your love (A) again (A9 - A) (F#m)I know you find (G) it hard (A) to reason with me (D)
(F#m) But this time it's different (G - Em7) darling you'll see (A)
You gotta (D) tell me you're coming back to me
You gotta (Bm) tell me you're coming back to me
You gotta (G) tell me you're coming back to me
You gotta (A) tell me you're coming back to me
You said we're through before
You walked out on me before
I tried to tell you, but you didn't want to know
This time you're different and determined to go
You gotta tell me you're coming back to me
You gotta tell me you're coming back to me
You gotta tell me you're coming back to me
You gotta tell me you're coming back to me
I wait as the days go by
I long for the nights to go by
I hear the knock on my door that never comes
I hear the telephone that hasn't rung
You gotta tell me you're coming back to me ...

haha thanks, he would not like this ... One day , in the studio , the Rolling Stones were working on an album and Mick Jagger was playing the guitar trying some new song, and Keith Richard said to him :" there are two guitar players in this band , and your not one of them ..."

Mille grazie, Philippe!

@ceccodotti5061
@ceccodotti5061 9 лет назад
Buon weekend e a presto, Francesco

Buona musica, Francesco

hard to say which one was the very first to be writen there may be a few days of delay ... , but "tell me" was the first to be released in an album (the first album) and as a A side. You can learn more about this in the Wikipedia page , (search Rolling stones songwriting history) anyway , thanks for listening, friendly from france , Philippe

PHILIPPE - YOU SHOULD HAVE BEEN A STONE DUDE. THAT WAS AWESOME ! COULD I POSSIBLY TWIST YOUR ARM INTO DOING A TUTORIAL ON THIS ONE ?
@salmonfishandships
@salmonfishandships 9 лет назад
ah many thanks ! sorry unfortunately I have no time to make any detailed tutorial at the moment but my advice is to read well the chords in the more section and watch the video untill you can pick it by ear and this is good training to discover the technique by your self - good luck :)

For unknown to me reasons, this tune is the most favorite of Stones! Could anybody explain what string to pick at 1:41 ?

I play a "free" arpeggio on D A D A A9 F#m G A D F#m G Em And I admit this is not exactly like the original which is played by Keith, there is no exact tab of this online but my advice would be to listen again and again until you find it by ear :) good luck
