This time travel was a closed circuit - a loop in time; it was predestined. She did a reversed grandfather paradox; she went back in time to preserve her on time line. She couldn't exist unless she time travelled, there is no divergence point; there is just a point, a fixed place in time. The time agency gives their seal of approval.

The parallel between Aisha and Hasan and Xu Wenwu and Ying Ling was dope, they both fell in love with beautiful women from another realm. I was bawling when Kamala turned out to be the trail of stars....and Aisha thinking Kamala was Sana, she saw her great granddaughter before she died. Kamala basically has all the parts to her Ms.Marvel suit...Muneeba finding her broken necklace representing her emblem had me bawling again. It seems like once Najma sacrificed herself her Noor essence went to Kamran unlocking his superhuman abilities.

We already have an example of that kind of time loop in the MCU: Steve Rogers staying back in the past and showing up old to give his Shield to Falcon. This means he was “supposed” to stay behind. Like the TVA said to Loki AP when he complained they didn’t stop the Avengers.

This appears to be a closed time loop. There's no timeline split like in Loki. If Kamala had tried to do something like keep both versions of the Bangle, for example, a split would have occurred with one reality where she succeeded and one where she didn't. However, it's still possible this IS a split and we're simply not seeing the other alternative (because this story isn't about interaction between two different timelines--from Kamala's perspective it's only one timeline).

This time travel works because she didn’t go back in time to change the future, her future is still the same. It’s a Fixed Point in Time like DS from WhatIf?

Endgame established that by changing the past, a new timeline is created in which events occurred differently. Loki escaping and Thanos travelling to the future and getting killed are the two examples of new timelines. Loki established that time flows one way and anyone who deviates from their set path creates a branched timeline which has the potential to lead to a multiversal war. Going by that logic, time flows one way and while there used to be only one loop of time, there is now several timelines flowing in a single loop, only intersecting on the point of origin (the point in time when new timelines were created). Loki escaping was one of the new timelines and TVA arrested him for that. They did not arrest the Avengers for causing the event because them time travelling was supposed to happen. To rephrase that, Avengers are not at fault for time travelling but when things happen because of that, the people involved in those events are the ones at fault. This way, the branched timeline where Thanos never accomplished his goal of eradicating half of the population of the universe should have been pruned by the TVA.

Hopefully Kamala doesn't use it to blow her nose or wipe her eyes. Just wearing it should be fine though. It is a little bit too short, it is more like an handkerchief or as you say, a bandana. For her full costume, the dupatta must be longer than that.

I think the “time travel” rules are different because it was more of a vision if anything. Kinda like how Wanda saw her future SW self in Wandavision when she touched the mind stone.

I don't mind the Love Story flashback but I kind of wish the flashback didn't take up half of the episode if it wasn't going to inform us on why the clandestine got exiled, why her great-grandmother ran from them or even who told them about the bangle... Marvel needs to start doing 7 or 8 episodes for some of their series. I hope the finale isn't rushed. This episode was ok, but Trey she didn't change anything, it's basically a closed loop. You really think they go change the rules just for Robert??? Really?

@Married2theReal, 15:40 And that was true right up until Loki's series. Everything before that was a carefully scripted story that was micromanaged by He who Remains. Everything happened the way it did back then because that was the way he wanted it to happen. Now he's out of the picture and thanks to Sylvie, the Multiverse and infinite number of realities are growing exponentially and spontaneously, free from manipulation, for now. He Who Remains, via the TVA, already proved that he has the power to make even something as power as the Infinity Stones be nothing more than paperweights, so I think it's safe to assume that he had the power to dictate how time travel would or wouldn't work.

Oh gosh, I just realized, they said in the first flash back they would need 2 bangles… and the bangle was on a severed arm… so there was/is a one-armed kree somewhere that has the other one..? … could we see it in the The Marvels movie?

The only thing I never liked was that in the MCU, time is 'allegedly' happening all at once. Which is how Kamala can be at the train platform to help her grandmother before she was born. That theory causes so many plotholes. Even more than the Flash in the Arrowverse.

I loved the flashback. The only thing I really don't like about the show is the pacing. The show should have either been longer or made more concise

Sorry Trey, I’m with Tasha on the time travel element. (Paying high price tag actors of course factors in too), but it is magic vs science and Bruce Banner’s explanation of time travel always made since to me, but how would he know what the parameters of magical time travel are. He’s a scientist. This is a good series and you 2 are entertaining.

I agree, cuz Bruce and Tony are men of science so it's logical for them to go by logical man made means of time traveling not Magical, since they're not well-versed in magical arts.

We also have the chance that how time travel worked before Loki and after Loki could be different (which is absolutely its own headache but you know..)
