As a Black American grew up eating oxtails. I don’t know how and why oxtails became associated with being Jamaican/West Indian cuisine.

Maybe because jamaican, migrated and opened up restaurants serving their food.. Black American as a "majority" do not eat oxtails weekly.... Most American black restaurants dont serve oxtail...
