Thank you for your inquiry. The video shows the unit from the second step for lack of camera space. The unit can be maneuvered on angled steps. The operator would just need to guide the trolley with the telescoping guide bar.
I’m having some health issues with my joints, but we had a family trip planned for New York City. This ru-vid.comUgkxuxJwamLFanm476LC5WPeTouyyU1GXomC was perfect! It’s lightweight enough that my friend could carry it up or down stairs when we needed to. (I can walk very short distances) It was comfortable for me to sit in, I would say if you’re super tall it might be a little cramped. I’m 5’1” and the foot rests were the perfect height. This may not be the best one for long term use, you get what you pay for, but for something that fits our budget that gives me accessibility while we deal with my health this was amazing.
Great product especially for care homes with maybe just one or two lifts x because staff can be trained in fire drill departures and safety of residents being priority. Good product for home use too whilst in flats or houses waiting for moving to bungalow especially if recently disabled let's hope x disabled hire places stock this product for hire too good for after surgery care too, many people in houses whilst they might be waiting for lift installation..
Good afternoon, Thank you for your response. Unfortunately, this unit is designed to use with an additional operator. Our goal is to provide options for all of our customers situations. We are currently working on options for single individuals. Please feel free to contact us with any specific needs that we need to consider.
Thank you for your question. At minute 5:16 on the video (MS3C-300WC Battery Operated Stair Climbing Trolley for Wheelchairs) displays the unit going up and down the stairs. Please let me know if you have any additional questions!
I got one but from China, it does look identical though. Good to know is that the back of the wheel chair need to be clean = nothing protruding out from it. If there is you will have a balancing problem and the wheelchair want to fall forward, mostly noticeable while going up the stairs. It will go pretty ok down the stairs but up you will have to struggle hard to press/hold the handle down to keep the balance of the wheel chair even though it is a long handle.
Where did you order yours from? Was it cheaper than this? I'm singlehandedly caring for BOTH my parents with Alzheimer's (and can't work because of this). We simply can't afford this although, it would be a God send as I am a 56 year old woman with 2 herniated discs.
