@@serencharlotte7807 In maths learn matrix and linear algebra and start learning statistics along with that,,along with that start practicing python,,then you can start learning Machine learning and once your brain is ready for further difficult concepts you can start deeplearning (computer vision, NLP) ...all the best😁

For a student of Calcutta University.....it is impossible to get 9sgpa...even the students who have scored 7.5-8 sgpa ,they are considered as a very bright student as the question quality and question levels are much more higher than other universities .....then what to do for VIT ? ....They atleast should take an entrance exam....A student from from Calcutta University with SGPA 7.5 can easily beat a student from other universities with with SGPA 9.5

@@shirinsiraji6587 yeah you do have a chance , the thing is they don't disclose the rank cutoffs for MSCs..which is tough to figure out untill you get to know on the preferred date

Hello... I've done my msc this year...I missed the form fillup ...I was thinking to join next year... Was there any criteria that you had seen while applying for msc data science in vit Vellore... Will my drop year affect in my placement..?If you don't know about this could you please ask any of your teacher or seniors...I tried calling the helpline number given in the website of vit but no one picked my call.
Ill try ,,about the placements every company has its own criteria,,,gap would not be a big problem if the reason is legit,,I have classmates with academic gaps so it wont be a problem
I think the programme is not in vellore campus, and its a new programme so dont have any info about it , i will let you know if I got to know anything about it.
Placements are yet to start for us ,,previous year it was so so,,academic depends upon you if you can take pressure and can compete good and have some prior knowledge of data science including stats and python linear algebra and r your life will be good hear
Hi di I got 70 percent in bsc physics can I get admission in msc data science and I want to know what is the last cutoff percentage of merit list of msc data science
BSc. Physics students cannot apply for data science,untill this year, not sure bout nxt year admissions. Talking bout the cutoff- i got 9.12 cgpa(=86%) in my UG still i got VIT AP....so it's very hard to get merit bases admission with 70-75%....also the cutoff is increasing every year

Hey archana, actually it's very tough to get the aggregate above 8 sgpa in Calcutta University. So my question is does VIT make the merit list only on the basis of number or they make it according to the undergraduate universities too?
Lots of maths and statistics are involved in data science sir if your son has intrest in maths and stats then only go for data science otherwise bca is also an option

Yesterday I've done the choice filling for the programmes and campus and today I've received and email to choose preffered subject but after logging in there's nothing to choose as a subject only the same as yesterday ( to select programme and campus)

I only have the results for 5 semesters out of 6. Now the applications are open for VIT Msc programmes. My doubt is, they are asking for CGPA. So how should I calculate CGPA for the 5 semesters?
They must be asking for the indiviual sem result right?....if not just give the most recent result that you have coz for documents you will be uploading all the sem results except the one you dont have..
@Archana Trivedi They are asking for an option like *UG Score Type* . There is only two options to selct from like *Marks* and *CGPA* . No matter what we choose, there are two other boxes next to it. The 1st box is named as *Maximum* and the 2nd box is named as *Obtained* . It is also mentioned that: 1. Inclusive of all UG papers (Languages, ancillary, core papers). 2. Result awaited candidates should calculate marks upto pre-final year. 3. Degree completed candidates should calculate marks for all semesters (upto final year) I only have results upto 5th semesters so which marks should I enter? And should I have to enter jsut the CGPA or the percentage of the CGPA?
One more question if you don't mind, is it possible to continue working while pursuing Msc Data science in VIT Vellore. I mean how many hours a day the classes and practicals takes.

Iam in first sem right now so i dont have much info about it ,its just that msc data science students will be sitting with btech mtech and mca students,,,2022 batch have around 150 students in total divided into 3 batches 50 each

You cant stay in pg if you are not from vellore or area that comes under 60km of vit,,,if you are thn thr are many pgs nearby college ,,safe for boys only

I've applied there too...I heard it's a good university, the website shows that we have to clear MAT first and then we can be also eligible for scholarship is there any conditions for scholarship or just clearing MAT ?
