Thankful to you both for this, I have done this particular route on the ship twice , The first ( as you know was) this Exact day, I was so bummed because I MISSED MY EXCURSION to the Mayans. The only thing i wanted to really see !

We are considering doing this excursion... We typically don't ever do excursions through the cruise line because they typically take longer to get places because of the large groups. We are considering it though since there's more things that could go wrong and cause us to get back late and miss the ship. Did it feel like getting to/from Xcaret added a bunch of time waiting for buses vs hopping in a taxi?

Honestly, yes it did. We met at the pier and walked a good distance to get to the place where we waited for the bus in the hot sun. We prefer to do excursions through the cruise line for the reason you mentioned but there are inherent disadvantages, like long periods of waiting. As far as Xcaret, while it was a neat experience, we probably wouldn’t do it again. We have also done the Xenses tour , also through the cruise line, and loved it! That one was definitely worth doing. Thanks for watching!

@@Pandbswideworldofports I'll have to look up Xenses...I don't remember seeing that listed, but hopefully it is. We really want to do Xplor but it's not offered by MSC, but after watching your video, I think that's probably a good thing if it means there's less people. Do you remember roughly what time you made it to Xcaret and had to leave by chance? Thank you for the reply and making such great content!

@@EvanPettrey I don’t remember the times but I do remember we only had about two hours, which is not nearly enough time to explore the entire park. Our guide even told us on the bus ride that we wouldn’t have enough time to see and experience everything. When we did the Xenses tour, it was through NCL and we had plenty of time to do everything we wanted to. Thank you so much for the compliment! We love making content for our subscribers!

@@Pandbswideworldofports That's what I've been figuring... Even if we do it on our own, 3 hours max and that just doesn't seem like it would be worth the cost or the travel for a family of four with young kids. Thank you for saving us what would probably have been an underwhelming day! Now to figure out plan B... Happy sails!
