Great video! You should definitely look into trying a real plane! It’s easier then this! Just keep an eye on getting those flaps out before your in range! In real life you could rip the wings off!! Also your full throttle almost the whole time. Back it off to even 80%, better 75% so when you need a bit more you have it. Also not to be hammering the engine the whole time! Looking forward to checking out the rest of your videos!

Hi Jamie. I love your video and I need your help. I’m struggling find a way to zoom the map in the PFD screen on the G1000, but the Range knob in my Xbox series x doesn’t respond. How can you do that? I’m talking about the 7:21 on your video. Thank you so much for any help.

Thanks for watching the video! While I can't be fully sure since I haven't tried the Xbox version of the sim, you might be getting stuck on the 'lock' feature for knobs in the sim. To 'unlock' the knob, press the A button on the controller when highlighting the knob. Now you should be able to move the knob, presumably with one of the joysticks. If you don't like this method, you can turn off the lock mode in: General Settings > Accessibility < Cockpit Interaction System. Switch this to 'Legacy' to remove the lock feature. Hope this helps!

That'd be the M1 on approach. Otherwise very informative, well researched vid. Couldn't figure the stuff I was missing.

Depending on the airport chosen and how well it’s ‘equipped’ in the game, the route may slightly differ from the one shown in the video. But as long as you have a final approach waypoint (like MAXEV in the video) and a straight line down to the airport, you should be fine. Thanks for watching!

My world map shows only straight paths, it won´t show that loop yours did. Only a straight line back and forth. In fact, it doesn´t show any curve at all, only angles. Do you know how to fix this? Thank you and sorry for my bad english.

I don’t think that has anything to do with your game. Rather, I think it’s to do with the airport you’re flying in to. Some airport departure and arrival routes have arcs and curves, while others have angular, direct lines. Although, if you’re flying into Dublin like me, I’m not sure why it isn’t showing the same route. Thanks for watching!

I tried using the open nav website on Bournemouth EGHH airport, but it doesn't show any charts ?

Unfortunately, OpenNav doesn’t have charts for every airport, so you’ll have to just search EGHH charts in your search engine and find another website for your charts. Please note, though, that not all websites that have charts are secure, so just check that before you click on the website.

All that it does like you a pilot upon watching other videos 🤔

No offense, but the way that msfs enters flight plans/approachs is not very realistic. Flight plans should be entered while in the cockpit, just like the real world.

I absolutely agree. The reason I used this method, through the world map was to give an easier explanation to my beginner audience of what was happening as I went through the steps of creating an ILS approach. There is a way to enter in your flight plans and approaches within the G1000. I much prefer this method and I have it covered in the video linked below. The way you initiate the approach in flight is the exact same as used in this video. m.ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6pelojJzwqg.html
