Hey there, thanks for checking out our plane. All of the things you noted we have on our list to fix and some have even been fixed and resolved by this time. If you move the camera down into the cabin you can SEE that you can click on the ladder to deploy it :D Yes you CAN cook your engines if you don't look after them, but the Fire Extinguisher is INOP at the moment. Again on our list to fix :D It WILL nose plant if you slam the breaks and have enough momentum so make sure you're gentle with those brakes. Going to have a look at the HStab strut connecting to the fuse. Stalls are gentle in the Goose and is also a property of high wing aircraft in general. If the aircraft is modeled correctly, MSFS is more than capable of producing correct stall behaviour. We're actually working on some custom code for the anchor as there's nothing default to "anchor". Glad you enjoy her. HAHAHAHA Love the ending with you coming onto the land in front of the camera :D
Have you made the Sperry Autopilot so that it does hold course if current heading is within some 10ish degrees of the desired heading? I think that was how it worked in the FSX Catalina from AS.
"You could fit 30 pax in there." -Spirit Love radial engines. The DC-6 is my fav so far for how accurately they simulate them. Boeing 247D would be my favorite (the details are amazing) but the systems accuracy seems a bit off on it so far. Would be nice if some of these vintage planes would add an old 250 - 1750 kHz (SW/LW) radio so we can use the B247's included music and radio range nav stations. That would be cherry on the cake.

Is there a way to map the pitch setting nob to joystick buttons or axis?
You're probably running them too hard for too long. As long as you don't exceed 2200 RPM and 34 for the manifold pressure they should be fine. Hope that helps. If you're still having trouble, let me know.
@unrealizedflight hey I know it's been a while but I've just gotten back into this and started flying again and I'm having trouble stopping this thing from smoking 10 mins in. I have set the prop max rpm to about 77% so it runs at about 1900 rpms most of the time but I still end up going down. Any tips?
You lost an engine after taking off with it the first time? I lost BOTH engines, at 8000 feet... and I'd never practiced with deadstick landings, ever... Never even looked into what to do... Thankfully I was able to land it in some water... Though I'm not sure what I did wrong because the left engine kept dying just while taxiing...
