The engine has no FADEC, the mixture is adjusted automatically by the carburettors by a needle attached to a vacuum tube. As the air pressure decreases the needle adjusts the mixture. In the carburettors. Also, i think you were using the checklist for the DA-20 eclipse instead of the rotax equipped DV-20; in the DV-20 you don't (can't) prime the engine but you use the choke for a cold start!
The drag on flaps is much less than IRL. I've just finished my PPL on DV/DA20-s and in the sim landing flaps has less drag than T/O flaps IRL. Have reported it to Asobo several times without response. The first version released was much better. At least the CG can be set to be flyable after several months but it's still a big annoyance with a premium - so encrypted and not modifiable - plane. :( Otherwise a great plane, helped me a lot during my training but this must be taken into account on approaches.
Loved the commentary. Trying to decide between MSFS std and deluxe (to get this plane). I’ve been simming the DA20, vSkyLabs LongEZ, CabriG2, and IconA5 in X-Plane and adding MSFS2020 to “my hangar”.
The flaps in the actual dv20 slow the plane down a bunch more. Not neccessarily in T/O position, but when you lower them to LDG, you would have to keep the throttle between 30-40% during approach
I've been flying this plane a lot thanks to FSEconomy, it was broken for a while with the CoG in the wrong spot making it kind of tough to fly. I've been taking it all over the Idaho Backcountry, though it struggles a bit at some of the higher altitudes around McCall.
Are you sure this is C1? because C1 is 125hp with a cruise speed of 138 knots, and in FS20 when i choose this plane i can see cruise speed is 110 knots so i think this has the Rotax 80hp
