This MSI MEG 32" 321URX is the premium line. That Light bar looks awesome. But you can see the raised dark levels due to the lighting at the show. *Thanks to Joelsterg4k for additial CES footage:
Hardware unboxed just did a preview of the MAG 321ux and said it is a Gen 2 panel and also said it is only DP 1.4 , pretty sure Gigabyte is the only DP 2.1 monitor so far
@@Math1eu- yeah , alot of misinformation out there is crazy , hard to believe hardware unboxed has the monitor and still got the display port standard wrong lol
Been waiting 5 years for this. Ever since I got that LG C9 and experienced proper HDR and 4K 120 I was ruined. Been waiting year after year for that glorious glossy 32 4k high refresh monitor to arrive. Finally! Ordered that 32 Alienware one yesterday. I guess dreams can come true sometimes lol.
Same here. My C9 can be reserved for just TV/movies and my AW2721D IPS is being replaced with the new Alienware QD OLED panel tomorrow. It was worth waiting for the monitors to mature a bit so I won't be tempted to upgrade for a long time. I learned from upgrading from B7 to C8 to C9. Once the TV finally checked all the boxes I could stop caring about upgrading all the time.
Would love to switch from my 48” LG CX OLED to an actual monitor, but all these 32” screens are just tiny in comparison. Larger ones tend to be ultra wides, which I am not interested in at all.
2:57 yeah, sure you don't recommend cheating.. that's why your first use case is a online game that is highly competitive. Not cheating at all... This product is only making a bad problem worse. This should be killed in public opinion and stop AI inside monitors or we going down a very bad road. One that includes privacy concerns, not just gaming.
I watched your video when you made an overview of the Samsung s95b. The qdoled blew my mind and bought it last summer because it was on sale. Now im looking for a qdoled monitor as my second screen along with my Samsung s95b. You make good updates for monitors and keep it up.
i "love" how i seemingly cant get any info on the meg version seemingly anywhere. does anyone know even a guess of when this meg version will be announced to come out? im interested in getting the meg version but im REALLY getting tired of waiting for any news of it. let alone for it's release
man you are great i kept watching your videos recently, i enjoyed every bit of it, just a quick question, is there a monitor features all this { Glossy / QD-OLED / Dolby Vision 4k 240hz / DP 2.1 UHBR20 } ?
@@DisplayReality indeed this is what i learned so far form u bro, glad they came up with such great features so far, lets hope they will just make it more amazing
Hi friend, great video and explanation, I'm interested in buying the 321 URX MPG version, but it's not yet available in Italy on Amazon? Waiting for your reply, best regards
I can't deal with the lack of a polarizer on the QD-OLED's, and I can't deal with matte WOLED's either. So I guess I have to wait another year or two for glossy WOLED's. :(
THIS. So much this. What I want to know is which raises blacks faster as the light increases - a matte woled or a glossy qd-oled? Because illl have to eventually settle I guess
I'm looking into getting one of these 32 inch QD-OLED monitors. I'm debating between the Alienware or the MSI 321urx. does the MSI monitor support Dolby Vision and Earc like the ALienware does?
Those 2 options are on the Alienware but not MSI. The MSI does have many gamer/AI options that the Alienwares do not have. Both glossy but the Alienware 32" is a mall bit curved. Both are great options. It really depends if you need earc or Dolby vision.
Thank you for replying to my comment. Dolby Vision isn't as important as EARC is. I'm thinking of replacing my larger 43" 4k tv with one of these 32" OLED's for my bedroom pc setup. and if I had EARC I could keep using my soundbar.@@DisplayReality
@@eagleeye-go1mu I have a katana v2 earc soundbar so I will test this week on that for xbox/ps5 etc. As this aw3225qf does not have audio out or headphone ports
I'll be sticking with the SAMSUNG ODYSSEY NEO G8. Frame Chasers took live footage and has already stated that these OLED displays are dim as phuck. No thnx
Lol. Ill see the Alienware next week. The lighting at ces was not helpful. These are brighter or as bright as the Asus w-OLED so its good. Thankfully its brighter than the LG 27GR95QE. If it wasnt that would be a major problem.
If you game in a bright room sure the neo g8 is the better choice but I myself prefer to game in the darker room and appreciate the qd oled much more. I found the same issues as rtings when using the monitor. "Unfortunately, the EOTF doesn't follow the target PQ curve well, as it crushes blacks and over-brightens brighter details. There's also a sharp cut-off at the peak brightness, causing a loss of fine details in bright scenes." That was enough for me to return the neo g8. The blooming and black crush killed this monitor for me as well as the scanlines. I found myself constantly trying to adjust the local Dimming to reduce the black crush and get a better picture. Such a frustrating experience
@@rahb2096 Scalines ? Thats like sitting point blank on a CRT and complaining about pixels. Recommended seating distance for a 32inch monitor is 3-5 feet. You sit with it literally in front of your face and complain about scanlines because you are not sitting at the recommended seating distance. Many of the people who spread the scanline propaganda could not afford the monitor even if they wanted to. Check out steam statistics survey and you will find that 60% of 8 million players are still playing on 1080p complaining about a monitor they cannot afford.
@@HumbleDude46995 I literally had both the neo g7 and g8 and like I said the g8 at 240hz had noticeably worse scanlines. Both had an aggressive coating that made the picture look fuzzy. Listen you can be mad and claim people are making it up but it was your choice to keep the monitor since you were happy with it. Not me there were too many compromises like I've listed and scanlines at least on the g7 was of little concern.
@@rahb2096 All of what you mentioned is inaccurate , Look at the reviews surrounding the Samsung Odyssey Neo G8 rtings, toms hardware and this channel viktors reality etc. Where is proof that you purchased the monitor? do you have an x acct or reddit? everyone that has the monitor is happy about the purchase the proof is all over youtube, webpages and forums. You probably dont have the monitor because you are cherry picking nonsense to complain about to justify purchasing a Dim Panel with text clarity issues, its already hard to enough to see . Seems like you are legit making up things to complain about ... too many satisfied customers . The Samsung Odyssey Neo G8 has been one of the best since its release and goated with all of its features
@@DonDOOM4 true. Its so new they have not even update the website. It was at ces booth. It shows meg and dp 2.1 on the little box on screen. The rep even says meg
Was waiting for these monitors but the Samsung G9 OLED was on sale for 1k on black friday. Had to pull the trigger... I dont think Im going back to 16:9.
I have g9 as well. It an awesome monitor. But I’m gonna get a 32” 4k as well since not all game support 32:9. Best of both worlds. When I want to couch game, I go to my 77 s95c 😂.
Brother @viktors reality, did not know you were at CES covering the monitors for us, thats awesome. I wanted to ask you, now that youve pretty much saw all the 32inch qd oled models from all the brands, which one do you think is the best/most premmium one in terms of brightness, features etc. Im thinking of getting the asus qd oled one.
"We don't recommend cheating with this" *Pings the screen when someone shows up on minimap* Okay. Can't wait to ping players in Tarkov I didn't quite see in a bush
What difference will the gen 3 provide over the gen 2 as far as monitors are concerned from what I heard nothing , cause they won’t up the brightness due to fear of burn in even though it’s more capable than gen 2 , asking cause I have OLED G9 and want to weigh in if I should buy more monitors or not
Far from nothing. For one improved pixel density, 4k monitors? More efficient using less power. Ai algorithm to last longer using panel to panel compensation. Improved ink jet process which is how they are putting more pixels in a smaller display.
@@rahb2096pixel density you need that to put it in small monitors , but it’s not going to make a difference for huge size monitors like the g9 That’s what made the monitors being able to be put in them QDOLED Pixel refresh I think it’s different from AIB to AIB and has nothing to do with panel as they market different things , like MSI they have different algorithms from ASUS and so on Printing doesn’t matter for me as a consumer I’m asking if these gen3 will provide improvement over gen 2 and so far it seems nothing no higher brightness no more color volume or anything preservable other maybe a longer longevity Hope it makes sense what I’m trying to get at
@MrFaleh1129 no honestly not sure you want brightness as if that's all that is valuable well you're incorrect but if that's what you value then don't buy any of these
Yo Viktors, with all of the talk of these new OLED monitors at CES we've forgot all about LCD's. There is a NEW MINI-LED Monitor from MSi. The MSI MPG272QPX. This is the first 27", 500Hz, 1440, IPS, monitor with FALD(1152 Zones). So it's basically an ESports monitor with REAL HDR. The first of it's kind for LCD IPS.
Is both of the monitors going to support the AI Technology or is just one.. I know they make the MAG UPX and MPG URX. Just curious.. Think the only difference it is showing is the Watt charger or something.. Also what is the Burn in Warranty.. Think someone has a 5yr burn in protection. didn't see what theirs was
@@AR-ke8wg the 34" from msi is based on gen 1. Anything max 175hz is gen 1. Now Gen 2 is 49" models. Major features gen 2 added is the HyperEfficient EL material but gen 3 adds the pico inkjet process among other things. With every iteration they get more durable.
The shame is OLED can already do 500Hz, but they are slowly ramping it up for MASSIVE profit reasons. They also are locking the higher refresh rates to 27" first and later on bring it to 32" and higher models...
I heard the reason why the 32 inch 4k monitors are stuck at 240hz is because it requires too much processing power. and there aren't any processors that handle that much data at once. so they would have to lower the resolution to get those refresh rates. which wouldn't look so great on a larger screen.
With Msi its really unknown. No info is present anywhere. Its better safe to chat with them (support) before purchase. I will to better inform everyone.
I have tried looking for info and there is none on the msi website. So far some outlets say 3y burn in warranty with conditions. So ot will not be easy like other companies. Just keep that in mind. Its best to chat or call them to verify
Yes thats incorrect. Its gen 3. But its there 2nd monitor besides the 49" qd oled. Only thing I can say is that this is all new info and the marketing teams didnt have the proper info in time for ces 2024. Documentation may have just been released last week but they plan this stuff months in advance
I would avoid buying ANY need electronic product, especially a monitor for like 2-3 months after release, since they will fix most of the firmware/hardware bugs and you wont be a betatester going through rma process, but hey it is your money.
A game cannot detect what the monitor is doing. It uses hardware built-in to the monitor and just analyzes what is on the screen, there is no third-party software at all. The only thing that they could maybe do is ban anyone with that monitor, but that is a drastic response. Even then, all MSI has to do is just not allow any game to access that information.
im waiting till 2026 to upgrade gta 6 on PC 4k 240hz+ plus I want a really bright oled and cyberpunk for example wont be able to run 4k 240hz max even with a 5090 I bet
This is the new MEG monitor that was just announced. The info on screen shows dp 2.1. Your a clickbait commentor. 🤡 after you read It I accept your apology.
LG did not allow me or my friend Joelsterg4k in the booth. It was invite only? We didnt know. Kind of pointless having only certain ppl in. Bad LG.. tho we got some cool footage soon
They made a lot of those 271QRX models, like, a lot, as in, a LOT of them. Hundreds, I think they ended up with like a thousand+ models for Italy. And then...the goat of the family, the 4K model. They made...well...about 10 of them. No wonder the QRX is always in stock and the URX is DOA. RTX 30 series all over again with this one.
