I finally Decided to change the thermal paste on my laptop as alot of you have been saying I should change it. In my opinion it didn't make much of a difference - that being said. It still made some. I also addressed the concern as some of you had been saying it has 2 ssd slots.

oh, be careful..the white grease on the little black chips and the little voltage transformers actually is NOT thermal paste like on CPU/GPU..it is a special thermal grease replacing thermal pads. I disassambled my MSI PG76 Leopard and discovered that stuff also on there. I put Artic thermal paste on those and the temps are not good. There is only one special product that actually works here that is the white K-5 Pro paste.

i thought we confirmed this in the other video homie but appreciate you clearing it up. i originally thought there was 2 as i saw that empty space next to the memory (where the 19 model had one) but didnt see a header there for a second slot. i did also end up putting a firecuda in my gp75 as well and noticed the single slot. apologies for getting into it in the other video as i really thought the 2020 model had it as well till i broke mine down and saw. As for this video, this is helpful, ive been thinking about repasting my chips. while i may not see a difference either it will help a bit. something to think about for sure.

No worries friend. I actually contacted Nvidia and MSI about the GPU heating issue on warzone. but I made it look like it's an issue on every game (as we can see it is not an issue on Valhalla or horizon zerodawn) - Nvidia says if my GPU stats below 90 degree I dont have to worry about a thing and if it goes over I should contact MSI. so (MSI) got my serial number and everthing from me and we spoke for like 40 mins, they said if I am not satisfied I can still send the laptop back and they will fix the issue or send me a new laptop. I guess they are top notch on their word. If you having alot of problems I would recommend contacting them and sending it over. but tbh I have not faced any problem in any game as far as GPU heating goes other than warzone. which leads me to believe it is definitely a game rendering issue and not a hardware issue.

You should try phase-change material Honeywell PTM7950. It comes in as a sheet, lasts longer, performs works better than traditional pastes and there is no pump-out effect. For the power section (vrm) and vrams, I advise you to apply Upsiren UX Pro thermal putty. Paste is a very bad idea, because the heatsink will adhere poorly and these components will overheat. It is also a good idea to do undervolting.

Just to clarify. The information about the SSD is incorrect. You also have the option to remove the 2.5" SATA mechanical drive and replace it with a 2.5" SATA SSD. M.2 and or NVME drives are not the only SSD's available. I hope this information helps.

Hey I found just reducing max performance to 99 instead of 100 disables turbo but also reduces heat by 5 to 7 degrees. On Cyberpunk was getting close to 90 since doing the change getting 81-83 on cpu heat. Either way thanks for vid

Hello, Did you notice any difference after a month after changing those thermal paste? is it good instead of using thermal pads on others circuit? rather than the same paste as the gpu and cpu. Hope you see this comment.

Ok came here from the disassembly vid great job dude really my out disassemble my 9th gen one only thing I found a bit odd obviously too much thermopaste never hurts because it's non conductive as in electricity not heat lmao but you didn't need to put it on both sides

Hey man to the left of the m.2 ssd and the left of the ram where that white prong connector is. That is your second M.2 ssd slot it says it right on the motherboard board it would be vertical from that angle you have the laptop when talking about it not being there..
@wloczykij69
@wloczykij69 2 года назад
Why You haven't second connector M.2? What is the thickness of thermopads? 1mm or 1.5mm?
@Notsogeekgeek
@Notsogeekgeek 2 года назад
there is only one M2 slot in the laptop. explained in this video thickness is 1.5mm if i am not mistaken

strange msi does not use thermal pads for the memory on the Gpu. I have never seen paste been used on a GPU's memory before.
