Hit the nail on the head as to why I wanted this bad boy......extended desktop for when Im working and for entertainment when Im travelling and I want to watch some cartoons from me phone. It was a toss up between this and an ASUS model, think I picked the right one with this. Thanks for taking the time to review it.....when Im struggling with the folding case I have a reference lol. Admit i was surprised at first it didnt have a battery built in when its portable! But then its powered from laptop by usb so curious as to how much drain that creates. Still think these glossy panels are much better esp in dark environments. Thanks for sharing Mike, Kath and Bob! 🐈👍

Hi, do you know if the up and down buttons on the side of the monitor can be assigned different things like volume or brightness or is it just set to do one thing? Thanks.

Mine didn’t come with a guide or any paperwork at all. And instead of a USB-A to USB-C, I got a second C to C of a different length. So the HDMI and two C-C cords. So I can’t use it how I want without a spare cable.

I got one. Broken after 3 years with no reasson. One day, I took it after not using it in months, and suddenly, the peripherals aren't reading at all. USB-C with proper cable and compatible device does not work, neither HDMI, I cannot get into the menu anymor because is not responding but, the battery from the connected device or any power cable will turn on the light and the screen just to show that there is no device connected. I bought MSI because I thought of quality, keeping in mind that cost double or more than other alternatives, now I know that this is not the case with this brand. My first and last experience with MSI.

@@kmimiteh i would never delete a comment unless it was dishonest or just plain nasty nonsense. You seem to have a genuine issue with your product and having an honest and non biased comments section is helpful to viewers who might be considering buying or using something we have made content about. If you can't get any response from MSI for any warranty repairs, you can post it to me and i can have a look at the ports and maybe disassemble the unit with the potential to repair it or at the least to give it a post mortem to try and figure out where the fault lies. If you want to discuss it in more detail either email or drop in the discord chat

@mikesunboxing I am not sure what is the issue. The screen is like mint condition, it was working and, after few months or over a year of not being used, just suddenly it was not working when I tried to used. Is not power isse because the screen switches on, but apppart of the button on/off, the 2 USB-C, the HDMI and the wheel for volume and menu are unresponsive. When I plug any device, from Samsung dex mobile phone to a laptop, or a Nintendo Switch, nothing works and I cannot access anymore to the menu, but when I put my phone for example is using the battery of my phone and the screen turns on, but the devices is jot recognised at all. I thought already on openid, I have a very basic knowledge of computer hardware, but I couldn't fine any screw or anything in internet to show me how to open it without broken it
