I haven't upgraded my two computers in years (10700k & 980ti / 6700k & 970) but I still watch your channel to keep up with hardware. No crazy clickbait, just informative and well-researched reviews with nice humor and practical takeaways. Maybe retrospectively review some older cards or CPUs? Keep up the great content, Laurent.
I bought a zMAX bored as well the 80 mg is nice and if you're running 11 fans if you're running an air-cooled model it does help it has lots of different connection ports in the two PCI You can turn the low frequency PCI slots into USB slots So you can give yourself more USB slots for like your mouse your keyboard steering wheel if you're doing stuff like that So they've really just depends on what you're really wanting to do But the one is actually eight gig and the one below it I believe is four gig..
HI PLS SAY for I7 13700K, 4070 super. Is motherboard msi pro z790a max wifi enough for it or should i go with msi mag z790 tomahawk MAX wifi. Say me pls
Yeah, the AORUS ELITE X is miles ahead! Nothing can dethrone that one (or maybe the TOMAHAWK MAX I am filming today.. that one will give it a run for its money!)
@@Laurentschoice I think the way the motherboard's USB ports are designed is also very important. Personally I believe that MSI is not steel clear on how the USB's port bus should be better designed, I think there are some old knots that have not yet been resolved. I have many different brands motherboards on hand... but when I use the USB ports on the MSI boards (more than one port) I always have .....a headache. 😂
I am saving for a pc build it has Primary gpu: Rtx 4070 super Secondary gpu: Intel arc a 380 Ram: 32gb ram 5600mhz Primary storage: 1tb nvme ssd Secondary storage: 2 tb ssd Case: Evetech onyx case Kratos gamadias 750w Os: Windows 10 pro Cpu: Intel core I5 14400f Motherboard: msi pro z790-a max wifi
This board has one possible advantage over the high-end MAG Tomahawk MAX WiFi: On the MAG, if you put an NVMe into the primary slot next to the CPU, your GPU PCIe link will be cut from 16x to 8x. This is due to the implementation of PCIe Gen 5 on that NVMe slot. There's NO way around this except to not install an SSD there. Any SSD installed there, even if it's only a 4.0 or 3.0 device, will nerf your GPU link. This is not MSI's fault, it's a limitation of the number of PCIe 5.0 lanes available on this platform generation. PCIe gen 5 drives have their issues, but are becoming more relevant. Degraded GPU link brings perhaps a few percent framerate costs. Ultimately it's up to you to decide where you prefer to compromise, but realize that if you do get a board with 5.0 NVMe slot, and you want to use all four slots, that choice is made for you. Me, I run the PRO MAX with all four slots populated with Gen 4 NVMe (three of these in RAID) and my GPU at full 16X link. This configuration would not be possible on the Tomahawk.
So I can go fully decided to buy a MSI PRO Z790-A MAX than the MAG Tomahawk.. it's more cheaper and I can fully use all NVMe slots without the PCI link issue??
Helloo!, I need help, I do live streams on Twitch and I mainly dedicate myself to gaming, which motherboard do you recommend with a budget of €330? Right now i have i5 12400F, and 32 Gb de Ram DDR5 and RTX 3060
Should I go with the ASUS TUF Gaming X670E or the ASUS ROG STRIX B650E-F ? Im planning on building with an Ryzen 9 7950x3d and an RTX 4080 Super. im also open for any new recommendations, the only criterias are, at least a bit rgb, it should be black, ATX and it should be not more expensive than the other two.
Would you please review the GIGABYTE B650M AORUS Elite AX and how well it works for gaming, productivity, etc looking at 8000 and upcoming 9000 cpus please.
Liked your video, there's pros and cons about the info status and connectivity that open my eyes to another choices, 20 bucks here and there, take off wasted connectors and voila, could've done a better job, thanks!
HI SEEN FULL VIDEO AND PLS SAY for I7 13700K, 4070 super. Is motherboard msi pro z790a max wifi enough for it or should i go with msi mag z790 tomahawk max wifi.
I have this motherboard and still there's no update to address issues with intel's microcode. I use my backup PC to keep my i5 14600K from degradation because I'm not in the mood to swich my entire platform to AMD because my CPU may eventually die because of intel's failure. I would never ever choose a MSI board. I regret i didn't go to an ASUS motherboard, mainly because of lack of updates for the last few months.
HI PLS SAY, Does even msi mag z790 tomahwak max wifi have any problems with i7 13700k build or should I go with this mother board msi pro z790 a max motherboard
HI PLS SAY, Does even msi mag z790 tomahwak max wifi have any problems with i7 13700k build or should I go with this mother board msi pro z790 a max motherboard 😮
HI SEEN FULL VIDEO AND PLS SAY for I7 13700K, 4070 super. Is motherboard msi pro z790a max wifi enough for it or should i go with msi mag z790 tomahawk max wifi 😊
I have a MSI Z790 TOMAHAWK MAX WIFI keeping unused over 3 months, because of Intel 13/14 crash issue, finally I found the i5-13500 may be safe, because of it's L2 cache is the same with Alder-lake, this brings another issue to me, I hope I can have the most option in my z790 motherboard bios... so I still haven't buy my CPU....
@@Laurentschoice Buying i5-13500 is very simple. As long as I buy it, I don't need to worry about the CPU being burned out. But at this time, my mental state is in an unsatisfied state. I want to have the most bios options once I buy i5-13500. If Intel or MSI release a complete solution to the Raptor-lake K version processor, I will have to sell the existing i5-13500 processor and buy an i7-14700K (I think this model has the same VRM capacity as TOMAHAWK Comparable match) The reality is that Intel cannot solve the problem and let the motherboard factory guys admit the harm from the end users and want a smooth transition to the next processor generation. This puts me in the Hamlet state of whether I should buy a processor or not.
We re fine here with 6...don't forget 8 is great .... But it really costs more to manufacture .. and on this board it would not make that much of a difference. But I do take your point in. Hopefully, 8 layers will become the standard even on sub 300 boards.
@@Laurentschoice 6layer is usually not capable of hitting 7200stable, 6800mt/s is usually max. Then people complain that the cpu is not good when it is the mobo.
@@Laurentschoice Joke aside... :) Do you think I will be ok with Gigabyte Z790 AORUS ELITE X WIFI7+147000k for working work loads for a few years? I should mention I'm very careful with my components...
